Anyone got any idea what is going on with Rome II, is it easy to rip? Is it easy to extract files?

Games Napoleon, Shogun 2, Rome, it was easy to rip music from PACK file. Of Rome 2 fails: "Error - is no pack file".

Actually - I have those files on my PC. Maybe a bit outdated, since they are not from 'Empire Edition' version of the game but I don't really know if there were any new tracks there (ouh... and just learnt there is going to be another lame dlc but I still doubt there would be any new music).

Anyway, the files are not the problem, they can be already accessed using special TW extractor. Their inside format is a problem. The music files are secured in wem files. Some guys from TW Center have been harshly looking into them, with no success, until CA realesed a way to mod Rome II music (though it only allows converting our own tracks to their 'roomish' wem files, while the way to read existig files or convert them into ogg/mp3 is still secured and unbroken... as far as I know). There are some wem-to-ogg converters out there - but they doesn't work with CA's wem files. But if anyone want my unpacked music files, I can upload them. Or you can just use the proper extractor (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?618353-PFM-3-1-7-More-DBE-fixes-Shader-handling-corrected) and unpack the music wems on your own.

Btw, VladlenCry - great thanks for your last rips! I can really enjoy them, especially AC.

I second this request for Rome 2. In particular the DLC music such as Horde of the Steppe and Deos Fortioribus Adesse. The quality of these songs on Youtube seems rather questionable. Horde of the Steppe seems haphazardly spliced in some areas and the volume increases dramatically a little over halfway through the song.

The music that was released with the game was underwhelming but the later additions are fantastic. It's really a shame that these tracks can't be found anywhere in good quality.
