Electra had Inception because eveyrone had it. Scorepranos traded with the wrong person (Garage) and someone was fed up with that Italian piece of shit so they fucked him over by posting some Zimmer titles, making Garage go away at last. You can take my word for it that Azkaban is not out there. No higher-up has it, unless they're so high that no one but Electra knows about it, which I highly doubt... But yeah, if they would be out there, include me in the pm list because I'm dyingto listen to this and have no plans to upload.

Honestly, I wouldn't believe in those people even if they reassured in my face that they were releasing such things. If they didn't while the franchise was still ongoing, why start now, nearly two years after the franchise ended? Maybe I'm wrong and whoever answered your email truly meant that and WB are planning to release full versions of the scores, but frankly I would take their reply with a grain of salt. Did they answer your email right away, or did they take their time?

You should start by doing what i suggested a while ago which is making a massive spamming on WB website about releasing all that stuff. Not just 10 guys but everyone on shrine.

I seriously don't think badgering them is going to do much. They probably have to sift through so much customer service mail, it all gets lost in the flow. My bet is on them releasing them over some time for anniversary editions/ labels like Intrada and Lala Land getting them out one by one/ a spike in interest from the next Potter related films and their scores.

Wait, I don't really get the reference to 'badgering'. Did I miss something? I have been badgering them a lot and I don't intend to stop that campaign until those idiots stop releasing Hogwarts and Wizard shit box sets. I'm not particularly fond of JW (though I'm increasingly liking some select cues), but maybe if he would pass away the number of bootlegs would increase. I have this hopeful image of someone taking his computer away and finding HP3 there.

I very very seriously doubt there are plans for expanded releases of these score. I just do. And, I maintain the sessions **can** be shared, but a select group of individuals have decided not to (assuming they exist even). Anyone breaking that little secret pact gets ostracized and frozen out of any further trading opportunities. The reason is that this set (if it is had) is far too valuable as a trade to allow to be posted for us mere mortals. See, if they keep then they can hope to trade them for things they want but don't have. That's it. That's the whole deal. This nonsense about wanting to wait so more can be had then posted here is complete bullshit. They always say that. But they have NO intention of doing so. Not until the trade value of these sessions sinks so low that they are essentially useless. Then someone will post here heroically. But if they are this tightly guarded, then I do not see it happening.

Of course there is always a chance someone out there will get hold of them and post. That is what happened with Scoreman, and "they" said the big leaks would dry up, and to a large degree they have. Not out of fear mind you, out rather out of retribution.

You're right, there have been loads of sets like the ultimate editions and wizards boxed sets, but those were released usually in conjunction with and around the release of the films for home entertainment.

The sad fact is, the music is not as marketable as their visual counterparts. Lately we've seen a great resurgence in appreciation and consumerability of scores, where we get 'deluxe editions' and expanded sets. This has nothing at all to do with JW's talent or skill as a composer, it's all about marketability and luck with timing.

Not to forget that casual people will probably only buy 'Hedwig's Theme' from the Philosopher's Stone album on itunes as they don't find the rest of the score appealing. Frozen got a deluxe score release as I expect most of the tracks are songs, which already throws the 'score' portion down the toilet.

There's probably more sales from the albums of shitty 'inspired by the film' music and sometimes I have to go into very selective music stores to find a section dedicated to film music. It's depressing, but it's the reality of the situation we face :(

Hmm, well as I understood it, the deal with HP was clearly that no more sessions would even be leaked in any trading circle if anything appears online, because the few people who do have access - and take my word for it, some of them have access - are intimidated and scred out of their wits in such horrible ways by the big companies (yes, WB, I mean you guys), or their good little contacts inside them that they think their careers or lives are at stake if they give anyting to anyone (see the Goblet of Fire thread somewhere on page 7 for proof of that).

As for me, I never traded and will never trade Harry Potter, I'll only trade FOR Harry Potter and the moment all the sessions are out there I'm not going to stop anyone from posting anything, but unfortunately the deal seems to be 'any public Potter leak means delaying the rest of them for a couple of years', no idea who came up with that either.

And scoreman, well... He leaked sessions, but there's another side to every story.

It will never be released in a way to do that. Even if the entire score as written were released (like the Deluxe Aliens), the sessions will hold value for the inserts, film edits and alternates. As far as markets and popularity I can point to two films that are severely abused. Avatar and Titanic. The Deluxe Avatar was a joke. And the release of the FYC promo and sessions has not induced anyone to make a complete score. Possibly just the opposite. Titanic's anniversary was a prime time to expand the album. Hell, even release an album of actual score tracks and not re-recordings. They put out that 4 disc box, with not a single piece of unreleased music...

It is entirely likely jobs are on the line. Many of us seem to either forget that, or just don't care. The more limited the access to the original source, the easier to trace the leak. And make no mistake they are watching. The Shrine is a great big glowing beacon of piracy. Plus anything posted here spreads like wildfire to other sites. SO any leak is quickly revealed. If one's job depended on it, would YOU leak it? And of course the possibility of jail time.

Well I wouldn't leak it like that in the open, but what I don't get is this: Suppose, suppose I have Prisoner of Azkaban and I give it to two people. Meanwhile, these people give it to others, edit it, remove tracks etc., and so on and so on. Now, if it ends up here after six months or longer, who on earth is going to be able or care to point at me? Is it even possible? I mean, as long as I keep claiming it wasn't me (so in other words if I do not post 'no more private trading for me'), and as long as no one says it was me, there's nothing they can do, right? Also, not to become too simplistic, but if jobs are on the line because it's sought after... well, I'm not stopping anyone from releasing anything legally either, it's just because those dumb WB idiots don't do it that we look for it like this.

I think once it's far enough away from its original source, it shouldn't matter then with regards to accountability. However, this is an extremely valuable score to the traders, of that I think we can agree on. It's not likely to be leaked out any time soon, if ever. John Williams scores in particular tend to stick in the upper trading circles.

Yeah, I've started disliking the character of Potter more and more. One of my favorite fan theories is that NEVILLE is the chosen one rather than Harry (http://www.cracked.com/article_19266_5-movie-fan-theories-that-make-more-sense-than-movie.html). I guess Harry's annoying because he assumes that everything is always about himself.

Hermione can be the Chosen One too, she could slap everyone in the face really hard, would make more sense because Voldemort then has a reason to pummel someone in part 8, plus she could jinx everyone so that Voldemort's army can have 'DEATH EATER' all over their faces.

Which is funny because most of Frozen's deluxe release is score-only, and it even has original demos. 59 cues. 35 score cues (including demos, and the teaser music), and 24 songs (including demos and outtakes).

Frozen could have anything it wanted. Everyone's going crazy for Frozen. Is there hype and drama for HP PoA though? There is never going to be the same demand for HP as Frozen received.
