As successful and superlative as this finest portrayal of the Holmes stories is known, only one release of music was ever made available to the public. First with the defunct Musical Heritage Society and then passed over to Varese Sarabande.

Tracklist

Libera Me

The booklet is enclosed... and I added a little special sweetener... a Debussy song from THE MASTER BLACK MAILER and something unique... and in flac. Toes will doubtless curl with unbridled joy.

Read the first post that states YOU have to PM me (I get cranky easily, and then begin to pout when people don't follow the rules)

This went out of production early. Which is terribly disappointing because I would like to believe with the sudden surge of recent lesser 'Holmes' productions (my opinion, shoot me) that people will seek out this superlative series that was designed to be as close as possible to Conan Doyle's stories- and Jeremy Brett literally put his life into this TV program right up until the end. He kept a notebook of Holme's mythos & mannerisms at his side during production. And he NEVER mentioned 'HIS' name aloud. Conan Doyle's daughter claimed that Brett gave the most ideal performance of the master detective as envisioned by her father.

So the music has been out of print... there should have been a second volume... and those whom appreciated the Brett series should have what does exist. Possibly that is the height of rationalization in breaking copyright laws but so be it. Patrick Gowers did some marvelous work with a single theme interpolated in a variety fashions.

Hi Phideas, I have just arrived to this forum, and in fact, I don't have enough posts to send you a PM.
Even so, I would be delighted if you could send me a link.
If not, I will be passing by, once in a while.
Thank you.
