Just like this soundtrack, it is a must-have, as it contains a lot of music this soundtrack doesn't have. The opposite is also true: this soundtrack contains a lot of music that was cut from the game. I think it's definitely better than Rayman Origins, but Rayman 2 and 1 still outrank this in my opinion. Christophe H�ral did an excellent job for this game, but I feel the fast pace of Rayman Legends may be limiting this soundtrack a little.

Rayman 1 and 2 had a greater focus on atmosphere. They had a slower pace and so did the music. I prefer Rayman 2's music the most: the themes are incredible and the music has this unique, magical feeling to it which really fit with the game. Rayman 1 didn't have that unique sound, but it had quite a few beautiful tunes that just wouldn't fit in a game like Rayman Legends.

Christophe H�ral made a few of those beautiful slower themes for Rayman Legends too, but some of them didn't even make the game: "10 - Lost in the Clouds" got left out for example. A shame, really. I think it's easily one of the best tracks...

Technically the game has been out in Europe for days now. I have the Vita version pre-ordered, but I've been playing the PC version for the last two days now. :P

I know there are some tracks that !!!!! didn't include and there are some duplicates in that rip, but in the end I'm pretty sure both rips turn out nice. It will be up to you to pick the one you think is best. ;)

I'm currently listening to his rip. Indeed their seems to be some duplicates, especially when the album version is exactly the same as the ripped version. I hope you'll take this into account when you include the tracks from the official album.

Yep, but Ubisoft doesn't seem to dislike the site for hosting a gamerip if it's different from the album. I don't think they'd appreciate it if I added the same exact album they have for sale to the site though.

It should be ready tomorrow evening at the latest. I have only one chopped up track left to piece together (the laser part of Mansion of the Deep), a few other tracks to add (intro movie, etc) and then I can start tagging. :)

I do have a small question though. I intend to combine your rip with the OST to make a Super Giant Ultimate Soundtrack of the game, so it would be nice to know which tracks from the OST go where in relation to your game rip version. I'm a bit pedantic like that with the ordering, you see.

What, even if it was unfinished?

Sorry guys, I promise I will post it in the next 20 hours or so! The rip is finished and tagged, it's just that I had this crazy idea of making a different "musical" cover for every world in the game, so there is some variation in the album art and the album art helps structure the whole rip. I've nearly finished doing this and the covers are great, but I just realized that I forgot to make album art for the music that doesn't belong to any world. *facepalm* I have to go get some sleep now, but I'll try to do it as soon as I can and then upload the thing. Thanks for your patience! :)

Much like the Winds of Strange song which is "Shield & Syrtaki" in the Olympus Maximus section, that song is "Hell's Gate". Track 36 on the OST and 114 in the rip. :)
