ThxNot really. The official ost was a va collection, but did have a suite of Tyler's score on the end. As far as I can tell, that's all that is available. (At least to the general public...). His web site has a poster that supposedly can be clicked for music, but there are no samples there, at least not yet.

Cherish and nurture the CSI stuff. I have never found any more samples for Keane's work. Cardoni, Russo and Brown have started decreasing the samples available. Brown in particular, since the cancellation of CSI New York. I wish that their Going away was a sign of an possible album release, but I think it is more due to the fact that since they are no longer current projects, the composers are just cutting way back on them. So it was truly a case of nab 'em while you can.....

13mh13: I use the download helper for Firefox. A Good lil widget. Some sites can block that though. For those pesky sites I use Freecoder Audio tool. It records any sound coming from your speaker. You can then then have it download and convert in one go. The only drawback is that you have to listen to the whole track.

Thx for tips. Yeah ... I use JDownloader, and found a way to download from Cloud site ... a whole folder at a time for new Bill Brown!

Anyway, I'm totally hooked to stuff from Cardoni, Russo. Only problem (as you note): their Flash sites make it very hard to "extract" using Fx or JD or other URL-based grabber. Haven't tried Freecoder Audio tho's. I'm thinking about ol' fashioned out-to-in via stereo connector. Some of the Flash and cloud players play off playlists so not one-tack-at-a-time is not as common.
Unless you've got all the non-CSI Cardoni/Russo stuff in the works, I think I'm gonna have to manual them soon.

FYI "The Greatest American Hero Extended Main Title" is identical to Joey Scarbury's single.
There is however another extended version out there (somewhere); if you listen to the Pilot Episode (near the end) where Ralph flies over Los Angeles, you'll notice there's an additional instrumental piece.

I am aware that is Believe It Or Not. I hunted it down specifically. :) All too often it and Cheers are represented only by their shortened versions on albums. Well, almost all VA theme songs, really. One of the things I was doing, for me, was to assemble themes from say the last decade that are usually NOT represented as well. But, since I have vol 1 done, I figured I may as well throw it out there. Yours is the only feedback I have received though. Anyone? Is it at all listenable? :(

I happened to have an original broadcast copy (minus commercials) of the GAH Pilot episode that I bought some years back, when they started to release the music editted on commercial DVDs.
I ripped the original (shortened for TV) Into theme and the original (extended) Outro theme.

I've played the NCIS, Firefly and Criminal Minds tracks and they all seem fine. By nature I'm not overly critical musically, which should not be taken in itself as a criticism. I'm more of a librarian than a music critic.

Simonsen's stuff is unfortunately pretty generic (at least those 7 tracks he posted).

Amanda, do you have "The good Wife" promo score? Or "Scandal" score too?

For those to happen, someone somewhere has to release it. If there are no composer samples posted, or if a composer's promo isn't released somewhere, then there is nothing to be had. Just because a show exists, does not not follow that score for it is obtainable, unfortunately.

Imbd shows Good Wife's composers as David Buckley and Danny Lux. Mr. Lux's web-site offers no samples for anything, unless you are a client with a pass. Mr. Buckley's site does have samples, and 3 from Good Wife, but the player is not streaming any, so there is nothing to hear or rip. Scandal's composer is listed as Chad Fischer, and a quick look shows no site for him.

It's good to have Garrow's Law. Just a shame it was dropped by Auntie, apparently for budgetary reduction needs. Oh well. As it was set in the late 1700's, it shows that it wasn't just the colonists that were poorly treated.

I think I have both. He-Man has tracks like "In Front of the Castle" and "The Royal Family" and Thundercats has "Swamp of Despair" and "Garden of Delights".

Yes, that is a dvd rip, with fx. Very minor fx. That is combined with the affore mentioned 'OST", and several covers/reconstructions from youtube. Also various fan covers with piano etc. It is a **very** mixed bag with very differing sound and quality. Not to say it isn't appreciated, it is. The rips do have fx, but on some of the important action sets, it is mostly faint footsteps etc, and even I can deal....

No. I have never seen it above mp3 320. Obviously, it must exist somewhere though. For the record, I never keep anything in flac. I have no external yet, so I am too frugal with space for that. And, I have very cheap speakers. On them, 320 or flac, it all sounds the same.

Not from me, I don't think, unless someone can point the way to somewhere he has samples of it. I don't find a composer site for him. There is a blog, but nothing even indicating he scored for those. Since nothing official has been released, it kind of leaves us with nowhere to turn.

This won't help but its something to take note of. THE RIVER (ABC) was first scored by Trevor Morris, but then Graeme Revell took over. I think they kept Trevor Morris' score only in the pilot. If anything does surface, it would be interesting to see why Morris' score (except for the pilot's) was rejected. Graeme Revell is...okay. He's not my favorite but I wonder why the assignment went to him.

H.R., his web site does not even list The River in his credits list for television. He has a lot of his other work posted, but no samples. It just says "music coming soon". It has said that for a very long time. So unless one finds a composer's promo, no joy that way.

Hey, Amanda. I wish to listen to blake Neely's other stuff on his site, but I still use XP with Firefox, cause IE is recovering tags and crashing. Now Firefox won't allow streaming of the tracks. Do you have any advice for plugins?

His new site? I am using Firefox and have not had any problems getting the site player to work. As for downloading it, the Firefox download helper seems to capture it just fine. There are some tracks that won't play, notably the last half of season one of Brothers and Sisters. If you mean his old site, most of the streaming has been disabled on it now.

Ok, for Randy Jones I cannot find an associated web site, so no samples there. On Eric Amdahl's sites, the following samples are offered:

The Sarah Jane Adventures you probably got from my post. I put together an 80 minute selection of the higher quality web rips I made. Had loads of lower quality, but they didn't cut the mustard for a CD. :D

Partially, maybe. But I had ove an hour from a site at one time that I rippped myself. I know the track "Fuck Me It's A Great big Robot" I ripped from there, before the name was modified....

Can you please post any music from NBC's Dracula? Specifically Grayson and Mina's Waltz? It seems to be the love theme which is eerily similar to Amanda Clarke / Jack on Revenge. Thanks!!!!

Hey, Amanda, thanks for your efforts on ripping THE MENTALIST for us Neely fans. Just a few nitpicks, though...SEASON 1, track 101 - 'Jewelry' and SEASON 2, track 05 - 'Fishing' are not complete. Is this how they stream, or did they not refresh properly during rip?

I don't know. I have re-ripped these two and will upload them in a bit here. Could be neither of those things, perhaps I highlighted the wrong sections for export from audacity. With the firefox downloader I don't need to refresh, just click each link and download in turn it, unless you stop for some reason, but even then reloading and starting should work. Other types of flash players are not so friendly....
