The film as I've read was a box-office disaster, but I find some of the songs catchy to listen to. I hope anyone who downloads it enjoys it, despite the cheesiness of some of the lyrics!

Cheers!
Whilst obviously not a patch on the original, I've always had a bit of a quiet liking for this one....

What do you mean by original?

Er, the 1937 Capra movie with the Dmitri Tiompkin soundtrack.
I suppose you could argue that this was just a different adaptation of the novel rather than a remake of the movie (which wasn't a musical) but I doubt this would have been made if the original movie hadn't been so successful.
Watch it. It's very good.

FilmscoreFan, thank you so much for sharing this great OST!

I second moviemusicsi wish, but I'm also really curious to hear Bacharach's original demos.
Still don't have enough courage to buy the Blu-Ray just for the music, so did anyone managed to rip the audio from it?

Thank you! The 1937 Capra version is a classic. The musical remake does have some nice Bacharach/David songs.

Many Thanks for this... This film has always been a favorite of mine, even though the critics slammed it hard when it came out in the seventies....lovely, upbeat songs! Rep added!

Thank you for posting this. I have an old LP of the soundtrack, and this saves me some trouble. I saw this film at an AMC way back when it was released, and mostly I recall the cheesy songs, and the theater was ice cold, which lent a certain atmosphere to the viewing. Thanks again

Thank you FilmscoreFan!

I really enjoyed the music from this film but sadly, it was the cause of the downward spiral of the movie musical along with Lucille Ball in Mame in the 70s and leading up to the 80s with The Apple and Xanadu and the 90s with Madonna in Evita. We wouldn't see a rise in movie musicals again until Moulin Rouge in 2001 and La La Land in 2016.

Yes please! I would love the isolated track from the Twilight Time blu-ray. I think a lot of the music is lovely (especially the one where Olivia Hussey does her little Kate Bush-esque dance), but the way it's executed in the film is really dragging before we get into the actual songs.
