300 And WATCHMEN Composer Tyler Bates To Score GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

It has been confirmed that Tyler Bates - a composer who worked with Zack Snyder on all of his movies except for Man of Steel - has been chosen to provide the score for Marvel Studios and James Gunn's highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy.

As you can see in the below statement from Guardians of the Galaxy writer and director James Gunn, Tyler Bates will compose the score for Guardians of the Galaxy. It sounds as if the duo are approaching their collaboration in an extremely unique way, although that seems fitting for a movie which is shaping up to be Marvel's most original and unusual movie yet. While Bates has worked with Zack Snyder on each of his movies, his impressive resume also includes the likes of Super (a James Gunn movie), Killer Joe and Low Winter Sun. What do you guys think of this choice?

If he can reproduce what he's brought for Watchmen with new elements, it should be great.
I bought the CD score to Watchmen. Not much on it, but still worth getting.

I don't hear him mentioned in news for the upcoming Avengers 2 where it's Ultron.
