Oooh, this is a tough one, because the characters are all very good.

I wouldn't be Cloud because he's too moody and self centred for my liking.

Barret is a possibility because he is a family man, and cares passionately for what he believes in. But at the same time, he agreed to have a gun grafted to his arm.

Cid's great, but a bit too loudmouthed to be me. Plus he's a nicotine addict, and I would never smoke.

Red XIII's a very noble creature, and would come a close second to my eventual pick.

Which is Vincent. Sure, he morphs into demon forms... But he has a dark and mysterious past, and he follows his heart. Once he is convinced of the party's passion to follow the son of the woman Vincent cared for, he becomes an unbreakable part of the group.

And on that note... Vincent is going to be in my party in my next playthrough. :)

His important role in the game was his past as a Turk and his relationship with Lucrecia. Optional characters may not be imporant, but out of Vincent and Yuffie, I would say Vincents more important because he had more to do with the plot.

I would also choose to be Tifa. She is a good fighter and she is a good friend to everyone. My favorite thing about Tifa was her emotional strength and optimisim. Even if she was feeling down, she never let her friends lose hope.

Hey Aerith your last post was a spoiler...you may wanna be careful;) Anyways, this really is a tuff decision...Cloud is an awesome character...there is much mystery behind him though, he isn't sure about himself throughout most the game, that's why I wouldn't be Cloud...Barret is great too, he stands up for what he believes in and he's a very passionate radicalist...The only reason I don't think I could be Barret is he's like the ultimate tough guy...Red XIII is a very...different character, I still am not sure what he is exactly, but he does love nature and has a devine respect for the living and dead...(whoa, I feel like a computer nerd saying all this but oh well)Vincent is a very mysterious character much like Cloud, he doesn't tell much about his past and he is a passionate follower to the group...and Cid, the hard-ass pilot...I like him much because of his...bad-ass attitude, but not for me...Sephoroth, no...and what about Cait Sith? I haven't seen him been mentioned yet! I wouldn't be him anyway...:) I think I would either be Vincent or RedXIII...

I think that being Vincent would be interesting, because of what happens to him in limit breaks. Vincent is a cool character though.

My favorite character is Aeris but I'm probably not as peaceful and sweet as she is. Even though I am a girl, I would have to say that I'm probably most like Red XIII. He's firce, yet caring and seems like he'd be a pretty good friend. And maybe a little of Cid...yeah...I have a bit of a potty mouth some times.

If I were a guy, I would probably be Barret because if I was physically strong, I would fight the government like Shinra for the planet to be saved! So I would be Barret. I would also be Cloud because he was a loner as a child and a good friend came into his life and changed it! So if I was a guy, maybe a mix between Cloud and Barret.

I would have to say that I would be Vincent Valentine. We have highly similar personalities. Or lack of them.

Like i said before, it would have to be either Sephiroth, or Vincent or a mix of both. the reason is that, they both have been through hell and well so have i in sum ways but Vincent is like my favorite character in the game and of course Sephiroth is second.

yeah martial arts does kick ass and i now found another reason to like Tifa. i like taekwondo and kendo it's really fun. tkd is the best to me some may like others but oh well i'm not one to tell what you like or dislike. off topic...........

i would have to say that im more along the lines of being someone like cloud. he has a tough exterior, but the people who r close to him know hes kinda a softy at heart. i think im kinda like that. i dont know.

i'm not soft in any way, i parted with those emotions when i was maybe 6 or 7. that's why i think i'm more like Sephiroth. also if you ever see me, i never seem to smile, not even an evil, Sephiroth-like, smirk. that's what makes me think of myself as Vincent, darkness surroundes me!!!

I am a mix between cloud and vincent because I am for the most part calm, unemotional, and deep. But I'm a girl so i would probaly be like some lady in the slums or something

dont put yourself as low as just sum1 in the slums, you can be any1 you want, that's why i chose damn near every1.

Staying at the gold saucer would be fun for a little bit but it would get really boring and old after a while

i'm still thinking could the Weapons count, i mean they were characters too right? if so i'd be Ruby Weapon. that whole hidden in the sand pop up grab what you want and kill it thing is kinda cool. plus i always thought he was stronger than Emrald.

maybe i would be like Morph from X-Men, i could be whatever character i wanted depending on how i felt that day. most of the time i'd probly be Sephiroth, but the truth is, when you think about all the stuff you like about all the characters, you wanna be 'em all and sometimes you can't make up your mind. i'd have to be able to imitate their powers too though.

seriously, Cait Sith's a little....for lack of a betta word, gay. now personally, after completing my quest of putting together all the FFVII characters i wanted to be i have decided that therre's only 2 for me, Sephiroth and Vincent.

you know what would be cool if you could watch Sephiroth fighting Cloud, but Cloud is all confused 'cause Sephiroth's moving as fast as Lloyd in Legend of Dragoon. ever play that? it was cool. when you think about it, many Final Fantasies and other RPG's have tried to model some character after Sephiroth.

I would either be Sepiroth because i sometimes am evil and really extremly mean(when im pissed which is almost every day) or vincent cause im never in a certain mood so it seems like i dont have emotions
