Realism in animation is at a new precedent. What was once inspiration by the hand is now inspiration by machine. Life can be replicated with a low price PC, graphics card and 3D rendering program (widely available for free on the net). How do you compare the former to the latter?
Can you compare Hayao Miyazaki's Laputa (Castle in the sky) to Final Fantasy X? Or can you compare FF Advent Children to Lord of the Rings? How about Ninja Scroll and Kill Bill?
The relation between each is based on emotion. The story is the foundation with appropriate illumination. And characters always remain the same. The story of Legend of Lagaii strongly mimics Lord of the Rings, so sometimes the mimicry will appear first. But the truth will always be revealed. Epics exist and work mentioned in this post is considered one.
A human and a machine can finally picture your dreams. Learn to draw your dreams and you will be inspired and enlightened to your intention.
Any users that wish to get involved in 3D animations should download Blender at http://www.blender3d.com/. This is a free program that may take a few days to learn, but can create true realism. Check the site out!
