I have the Japanese CD if anyone is interested but I found the music boring and made the film even more dull. I don't know why a Chinese composer was chosen instead of a Japanese. The analogy I make is when I enter a Chinese restaurant I like to be served by a delightful Chinese waitress (though often they are rude men) rather than another Asian nationality, to get a more authentic atmosphere for consuming the food. The film is paced � la the great Ozu and his composers matched the mood far better I thought.
