ROCKCAN Sound E Can (Rockman 25th Anniversary) 10-DISC SET [FLAC] [CPCA-10264~73]

So to continue on my previous release: Capcom Music Generation Rockman X1~6 [FLAC] [CPCA-1076~80] 5DISC BOX (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/capcom-music-generation-rockman-x1~6-%5Bflac%5D-%5Bcpca-138478/). Lets take a step back to a simpler time. A bye gone era of sprites and flickering enemies. To the blue little bomber in his form which started it all. Remember that first time you played the Cutman stage. Those little pesky flying, grinning faces which you learned to hate. Remember the music. Those sweet, sweet tunes of pure bliss.

So last year, as it happened. The little blue twerp had his 25th anniversary (starting to feel a bit old here but hey, with age comes refinement and style) and Capcom chose to celebrate it by (among other things) releasing the E-tank to end all E-tanks.
A 10-DISC bonanza of Rockman historia.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the 400+ tracks in this monsterbox. In FLAC of course.
Now I think that I've earned a sip of that 21 y.o Suntory Hibiki.

For relaxing times . . . make it Suntory Time!

Personal rip taken from my own physical collection. Includes cover, logg, cue & playlist. Please support your favorite artist by purchasing their work.
Feel free to PM me if you have requests for re-up, random questions, or just want to talk about the glory that is Bill Murray.
Dowload link and password available in spoiler below. Files provided in 7zip package and hosted by MEGA.
Please remember to change _7z to .7z in file name. And folks, remember. Whisky, cats and coffee is the only true way of life.

Morning to you all, happy to see you're enjoying this one (as one should). And just to be sure, if there are any questions what so ever on the validity of my releases (that is, if I in fact do own these in physical copies). Feel free to PM me and I will provide as much pictures as you want.

The ROCKCAN was indeed a little bastard to rip. Last two CDs (ROCKMAN 9 & 10) did not automatically download the CD information for track names, artists etc. So had to manually type all the information in. A wee bit of pain in the arse I can tell you that. XD
And to those of you dreaming about adding this to your physical collection I can absolutely recommend it. Splendid piece. Sadly, the CDs inside come in plain jewel cases without any inlays what so ever. Just the discs. A bit on the cheap side there CAPCOM.

I don't see how you can recommend throwing away $300+ dollars on this faulty half-assed joke of a collection. Consider my mind boggled.

You can easily take care of that problem with firefox. You goto the VGMdb page for the album.. Hold left Ctrl and click your left mouse button and drag through the names of the tracks (not the track numbers just the titles). They will highlight with boxes around each track title... You then Ctrl C to copy.. goto EAC and use Database > Get CD Information > Clipboard .. it will pop up.. just hit Yes .. it will then auto title each track. The only thing you have to do manually is the Artist names for tagging. Which if that was the case is a true bitch lol.

joke of a collection? .. Obviously you know nothing about Rockman >_<

You best be trollin' (indeed, it would be easy to troll me over this E-Garbage-Can). What does knowing anything about Rockman have to do with the quality of this release? Besides, Rockman has been by far my favorite franchise for 23 years. I guarantee you I know more about Rockman than you. Or at least, I respect the franchise a lot more than you, if you are actually trying to defend this half-assed cash grab by Crapcom. It's just an overpriced re-release of old music "remastered" for the worse, thrown in a tin can with some card board. Whoopty-doo. And they botched their MM2 recording. Nothing more needs be wrong than that.

Not worth $1. I say shame on anyone willing to support the current Crapcom.

WHY ARE THEY KILLING MEGA MAN!? XOVER!? XOVER!? AAAAAAAHHHHH!

Since when did we collectors make any sense what so ever? If you have the money to spend, then just do it. That's my motto. Overall I'm perfectly happy with the 'half-assed joke of a collection'. It's faulty but still beautiful.

Fair enough.

I will say one good thing about it -- it's cool that it's the first official release of the PS1 arranges (even though I mostly dislike them... I would have rather had the Game Boy versions, Rockman & Forte, Rockboard, Soccer, Wily Wars, Powered Up, etc) and it re-released the Vol.1/Vol. 2 special arrange CDs which are hard to find.

But if anyone 'obviously knows nothing about Rockman', it's you guys. >.< And apparently Capcom too, these days.

*grumble grumble* Telling me I don't know Rockman? Psshh! *grumble grumble*

Hey I know something about Rockman too, I know that the series needs a new Rockman Zero platformer... like badly, and not just a platformer, but a damn good one please. And so that Zero looks the way he did on a Mythos cover:
And I also know that it's been forever since III/Inti Creates has put out anything Rockman related, so it would be nice if they get off their vacation, get their sound and art department together, and get busy already.

CRAPCOM, as they're more know as these days. Does indeed have a lot of internal problems (obviously). Much of the original core talent in their teams has moved on. And while I'm sure there are plenty of great guys and girls there. It's just not the same without the old guard. Somewhat like RARE without the Stamper brothers (or what is has become at least).

It's as if you removed the bacon from the equation.

Still, no where near as bad as KONAMI or SQUENIX are doing these days. Seen their latest horrid entrance in the FF-franchise? "Final Fantasy - All the Bravest". A (litterary) pay to win, mobile game. If your characters die, you pay (real money) to have them revived. Or, alternatively you can wait (cool down up to eight hours).

But I believe we're getting of the beaten path here. I'll tally along, cheerio mates!

Never mind that, a little feisty good discussion never hurt anyone. Just imagine if everyone in the world were to be overly positive and cheery all the time. Horrible :P

It has mega man 7, 8 and 9, 10 so it is nice to have it as a complete package. The extra tracks are from the playstation version of the original mega man games which is cool but can be confusing, check on vgmdb it will tell you where each song is from.

Is this version better than the original releases? There are many many extra tracks.

No. It's worse. It's too compressed (overly loud and harsh with poor dynamics). And they really screwed up 1~2 somehow with a lot of weird distortion. I'm pretty sure all the chiptune based music on this release is done using an emulator.

The only reason to get this is for the 4~6 PS1 arrangements and the Sega Saturn MM8 tracks, since this is their first official release of any kind. And perhaps for the tracks that come from the "Special Arrange Vol. 1 & Vol. 2" CDs, since those are rare old CDs (but again, they are inferior to what you find on the original CDs because of the compression I mentioned earlier). I would say to get it for MM7 too (since the original CD release is plagued with sound effects and looping errors), but like I said before, pretty sure it's emulation, so to hell with it.

But I'm still glad you uploaded this Bob. :p I kept three of the tracks (Tengu Man SS, MM5 PS1 Staff Roll, Soldier of the Underworld).

If any of you find any lossless rips of any of these releases, please let me know:

1. Capcom Special Selection: Rockman Dash 2 - CPDA-10061 (I only want the track "Jiji")

2. ROCKMAN EXE TRANSMISSION SOUND TRACK - SRIN-1105

3. We are ROCK-MEN!2 - CPCA-10283

4. ROCKMAN Arrange Version - ROCKMAN SPECIAL CD Vol. 1 - CAPCOM-003 (I only want the track "SKULLMAN ~Soldier of the Underworld~")
____________________________________________

Also wanted to let you guys know about a lossless upload (ape+cue) of the 25th Anniversary Rockman Rock/Techno Arrange albums.

I don't want to directly link to it. Just Google "KDSD-00580, flac" and scroll down to the search result marked with [CAPCOM] from a "pan.baidu.com". There's a handful of other lossless Rockman albums there too. Click on that search result, it takes you to a Japanese list of Rockman albums, you click on one, it takes you to a page with two blue rectangles, you click on the right most one with the filesize, it downloads. Done.

Yishai is correct in his statement, however fancy and overpriced this tin can (literary) is, it's a shoddy production with a few exceptions listed above. The fact that all of the cds come in jewel cases without any form of sleeves, just plain see-through is a telling sign about how the production went on this collection. Someone over at Capcom screwed up majorly.

So you're saying this an all "style over substance" package? Perhaps a way CAPCOM found to cash in nostalgia to mask Rockman's death over the years? Personally, I found the Capcom Music Generation Rockman 1~6 set sound quality terrible and this one was passable on that department. Yes, PSX arrangements are cool and were long lost for some time. They didn't include the J-POP songs from Rockman 8 also... so, yes, lacking content but, still, a little better than the previous release(s). In my humble opinion
