Hi all,

I'm trying to rip the soundtrack from a computer game called Plane Crazy (released in 1998).

I'm usually good at finding soundtracks hidden in data files, but can't find anything on this, apart from some audio speech wav files.

For years I've had a low quality MP3 version of the soundtrack, and have no idea or memory of where I got it from.

I found this site: Game music base - database of Games, Games music and soundtracks (http://www.mirsoft.info/gmb/music_info.php?id_ele=MTE0MTA=) which says that the soundtrack is "PC redbook audio tracks", but nothing plays when I put it in a CD player.

Any ideas?

normally redbook means that it is seen as audiocd by computer (not data cd) and can be ripped like it. perhaps trying a different rip program or drive?

Thank you Zeratul13! I was trying to rip it from the 2005 re-release, and couldn't, but as soon as I tried the original release 'dBpoweramp CD Ripper' ripped it!

I wonder where the soundtrack is hidden on the re-release?

probably hidden within other archives in the data.

You must be right.

yep. alot of it is because of piracy prevention, which sucks when all we want are the music and sounds from the disk. : (
