Well my dears i've been pretty much inactive and out of touch during the last two weeks, because of work among other things but nothing to worry about, so now that i have some more free time again i begin to share with you these two scores that i hope you can enjoy!
They are The Road Home and Not One Less, two movies directed by Zhang Yimou (in a time when he was more concerned to direct small but gorgeous movies, rather then the epic spectacles of late), and both composed by San Bao, which i never heard of him again since then.
It's soothing music with two lovely main themes, suitable for the movies that were made. If there is a criticism to say it's because that they are both monothematic scores. Each main theme appears in almost every track, but that's not a bad thing when it's music that appeals to the heart and mind, right?
Still if had to choose my favorite that would be the theme of The Road Home.
