I wanna know your thoughts on which RPG you think is better
Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger?
My vote goes out to FFVI merely based on the opera scene
It wins my heart
If it wasn't for the opera part in FFVI
well then CT would've gotten my vote
"oh Draco"
"oh Maria"
ooooooooh

vote away~
and please include a post as to why you chose that option

Chrono Trigger for me. Better than almost every other RPG I've played - and one that has definitely stood the test of time storyline wise, battle system wise and addiction wise. I played it last summer whilst I was getting around work.

Crono may not have said anything, but he was a very strong and powerful main character. The links between Crono and the other characters are very strong, and there was not one of the party who I hated unlike other RPGs where at least one main character pissed me off. And you combine with an enemy to help defeat the ultimate enemy. Which is a neat little twist in the plot.

Final Fantasy VI was great, sure, but Chrono Trigger just beats it.

Yeah, Chrono Trigger for me. I enjoyed the game thoroughly, story never grew boring... etc... :O I love it.

Oooh...that's a tough one. I own both, but I've only played Chrono Trigger through. Based on that, I'll say Chrono Trigger.

everyon'e voting for FF6, but all the replys say CT. i voted for FF6, it beats CT barely IMHO. I've played both thourally and FF6 is more complex story-line wise, and the characters are just a bit better developed. thats my opinion.

Eh, i liked FFVI a bit more as the characters were developed quite well. And it had Umaro in it too. Noone argues with a sasquatch.

But Chrono Trigger has Janus?! Is there any better character... ever? :O *huggles*
Also... the story of Chrono Trigger kept exceeding my expectations. The unique idea of time travelling, the discovery of new time eras and the plot twists just kept my interest. Kept me excited, and surprised me. :D

As much as I love Magus... I have to go with FF6, sorry Anna. If was the first FF that I ever beat and to this day I can't find an RPG with a story that I like better, though the corniness of FF5 makes it almost as enjoyable as FF6. I've probably sunk more time into FF6 than any other RPG as well; it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Heathen. :P

Tehehe, but I understand that this is a really personal question. My Chrono Trigger experience was pretty personal, too, because I played the game absolutely unprepared and without high expectations. Everything was a surprise for me, even the fact that there was... time travelling. :P I enjoyed it so much.
While... come to think of it... when I was playing FF6, my English skills were... hm... better not think of it now.

I've only played FFVI, plus FF is my #1favorite. So I'll say FFVI

Without second thought, Chrono Trigger. Ok, maybe the Final Fantasy has superb story and characters but when we're talking about gameplay and overall game value, Chrono Trigger is the winner.
