Shame they cancelled this series with Young Justice. Cartoon Network doesn't get that stupid people shows like Teen Titans Go! are not enjoyed as long as series that take themselves seriously while staying entertaining (like YJ, GL, the DCAU, Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: EMH... all cancelled in favor of making replacement 'stupid people' shows).

Any word on Beware the Batman's air date? It looks...err...interesting. I'd say not for me, but Teen Titans (original, not lite) took a while to grow on me too.

CN hasn't aired any tv spots for it, which I find a little odd considering how much they promoted TTG!. But it looks like the show premieres sometime Saturday (July 13).

It seems they got a fair amount of negative feedback on it. Perhaps they are....retooling?

Bugz...yea. I was surprised too. I did not expect much from the series, then got hooked. And every episode there would come a point where I would say to myself "This score needs to be released".....ah well. At least both this and Young Justice had some types of storyline wrap-ups.

exactly Amanda. i really wasn't expecting much but just like you said the moment i watch the first episode i got hooked immediately, with how they handle the animation, story and the score. right now i could say that i am now a big fan of Frederik Wiedmann's efforts. going with the same 3D style it's as enjoyable as the Transformers animation on hub. i like that show too as well as the Brian Tyler score in it.

It seems they got a fair amount of negative feedback on it. Perhaps they are....retooling?not negative, a lot of recent real life events prompted them to swap out the realistic violence depicted in it (and tone down the characters to match). beyond that, it's had some fairly good early review buzz from those who were lucky enough to get advance copies to review.

plus Wiedmann is also composing for it, which is a line in its pro column if there was ever a need for one.

I haven't heard much from this composer before, but his scores are very good so far!

Get a look - and most certainly a listen - at The Flashpoint Paradox! It's also scored by Frederik Wiedman and (at least for my taste) even BETTER! Release of the soundtrack was supposed to be this August, so maybe it's already around somewhere...
