The challenges of creating a Superman score are daunting because Superman is so iconographic, said Snyder. I really feel like what Hans created is perfect. Subtle and stirring, epic and commanding. Honestly, Hans crushed it.
Both the standard and deluxe editions will include the epic track Man of Steel (Hans Original Sketchbook) which clocks in at over 28 minutes long. This exclusive track is performed solely by Zimmer, and allows listeners to experience firsthand his initial experiments with the film's music, which ultimately lay the foundation for the film's final score.

The only thing Hans crushed here were the hopes and dreams of countless film music fans the world over. There is nothing iconic about this score or any of its included 'themes' (if you can even call them that). I have tried and tried to develop an appreciation for this score by forcing repeat listenings on myself, but outside of two 'just passable' tracks ("If You Love These People" and "What Are You Going To Do When You Are Not Saving The World?"), this would have to be one of the most uninteresting Zimmer scores of all time.

I was kinda hoping that the movie would help me in getting an appreciation for the score, but dare I say I thought the movie was pretty average also. :(

What was working for the movie was dragged down to gutter level by this absolutely vile score. :(

The hopes and dreams of what? If people makes their own expectations of what someone must deliver, they'll be always dissapointed. Composers work for the director, the producer, and for his vision of the film. Not the fans.

So far this is the 6th I've come across with a dead link and complaints that the thread was even started. I can't help but wonder if I'm missing something. Are these complaints being made because a thread is started without a real link? Because THAT I understand.

Everything aside, my sincerest of gratitude for posting this in amazing Quality : 226 Kbps Avg / 44.1 KHz when all those other fools in the dozens of other MoS threads have been posting lossless high bitrate files - each trying to out-do the other with better quality - which were too good for our ears. I feel humble again and my dial-up internet and 2gb HDD from 1999 thanks you.

Not to out-do everyone else, but mine is probably the best due to the source.
