I was wondering, based on how NPC's act, and the type if music based on, what the setting is of each final fantasy, as in time and location.

To begin with, its obvious that final fantasy ix was based on the tudor/elizabethan era or the 17th centuary, as the music has that sort of feel and the clothes clearly point out this era.

Another far off guess would be that final fantasy v was set in the south americas, the music sort of points to it, and on the official soundtrack i have, each song contains some south americas vocaling..

Can anyone else think of the setting to each final fantasy game?

Final Fantasy might share some characteristics, but I don't think the creators really had South America in mind when they made FFV.

I think we can safely say Final Fantasy 1-4 was meant to be set in medieval England times, though the music doesn't point to that, and the way the 'medievalness' of it all is inaccurate. It is quite the typical Dungeons & Dragons view of those times.
