Original Karl May movie music of 1936-1968. In the sixties, Martin B�ttcher incomparable compositions conquered the charts in Germany during the 60's. Many of the soundtracks appeared at that time as LPs, but only in parts, and by no means for all the movies. Four decades later, a nearly complete on eight CDs Karl May Soundtrack Edition is heard. It contains almost unbroken film scores from all published between 1962 and 1968 cinema adventures of the Saxon Fabulierers. Next to Martin B�ttcher legendary ten soundtracks (Silver Lake, Winnetou, The Schut and others) and the works of his seven colleagues are: the original soundtrack to the Orient stripes Through wild Kurdistan and the Ingdscha Raimund Rosenberger, the Latin American Adventure Treasure of the Aztecs / Pyramid of the Sun God (Erwin Halletz), The Legacy of the Incas (Angelo Francesco Lavagnino) and the music for this film Old Shatterhand by Riz Ortolani and Winnetou and his friend Buffalo Bill by Peter Thomas.

I used Chrome to download Discs 1-6 with no problems. Then Discs 7 and 8 froze at between 28% and 29% with Chrome and also froze at between 16% and 18% with Firefox. I will try again this evening to download Discs 7 and 8. Thanks again Crunch75 for the post.

I just finished downloading Discs 7 and 8 using Chrome and all went well and quick. I guess you just have to be patient with MEGA. Thanks again Crunch75 for posting this wonderful collection from a composer I had never heard of before.

For those who have problems with mega, there is now an alternative download link from MULTIUPLOAD. I hope this will work.

By the way i have checked the download with firefox, somewhere else, and indeed it get stuck at 21% with max speed of 250 kb/s when i do the same at home there is no problems with a speed of at least 4 mb/s. So i think it has to do with the bandwith of the providersservers. Probably some congestion issues :)

AWESOME collection! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this post. Thank you! Downloads worked fine!

I took the liberty of custimizing some covers for some of the films covered in this collection.

I did them film-wise and not cd-wise, because I like to listen to soundtracks generally as a whole film or episode-experience instead of mixing 2 films or episodes of a series.

I like the covers, although I would like to have cd-wise covers, and I'm wondering why you used the German movie titles but wrote the other text in English.

What software are you using for creating customized covers? I especially like the western style font you used for the titles.

Actually I was wondering about that myself, but I think I decided to keep the original title of each movie in the producing country's language because these movies were an absolut phenomenon in Germany in the 60's and I wanted to honor that. Even my generation, and I was born in '68, grew up with these adventures and their re-runs on german tv throughout the 70's and 80's.
On the other hand, even though I am german myself, i prefer the english language and therefore I used english for the rest of the lines.

I used GIMP and the font is called Carnivalee Freakshow.

I can take a look at creating some covers for each of the 8 cd's, if you like.

Here are 2 examples for a cover cd-wise, one in english with the english titles of the movies, and one in german.

I have chosen a different picture this time, but a change to other pictures can easily be done.

Great covers! Since I am a German myself, and since the movies are originally in German, I find the German cover better. But that's only my opinion.

Nice covers, although the image quality of the cover for CD 7 is not as good as the others. But who am I to say this. I do not know how to make such covers. So, thanks for the covers.

Yeah, I searched a lot, but I could not find a movie-still with a better resolution.
Maybe because it was one of the least favourite Winnetou movies.

There are other images out there with a better resolution, but these images require way more work to be done. So I settled with this one....for now...

And...I use these covers for iTunes, so I have a nice looking cover for my music. And there you can not see much of a difference, when these covers are way smaller than they are in here or on my computer.
