I don't think this will ever happen.
The people of Sony bought a part of the company(Square) and Nintendo hates Square because of the stuff they did with ff7.

So an new part on the GBA is out of the picture

They would never re-release FF7 on GBA. It doesn't have the graphical capabilites; FF7 stretched the PSX. What you have there is an animated gif, and a fairly common one at that.

However, unlike most rumours, there is a shred of truth in this one; at E3 in 2000, Square announced that they may be releasing FF4,5 and 6 on the GBA. Only time will tell.

Don't hold your breath, though.

I doubt it though, since Nintendo doesn't want to deal with Square anymore.... that's why they blow 'm off when the rumors were back then ;) and besides... Sony bought a part of Square and Sony would never allow Square to produce their games on a Nintendo Console ;_; (which is a shame) but you never know.. somewhere their might be untold secrets.... waiting to see the daylight.

Doesn't affect me because I don't buy Nintendo products. I don't think they will though.

If there is money to be made, and all parties know this, then it may very well happen.

How? Easy.

Sony owns stock in Square.

Square sees they can make $$$$ by producing for Nintendo.

Square tells this to the stockholder/corporate hierarchy.

Sony sees $$$$.

Square gets the okay, they make said games, they make $$$$.

Square's stock goes up.

Stockholders and corporate hierarchy people make $$$$.

So system loyalty, who owns stock in whom, what system is better, blah blah blah......eh, screw and piss on all that. Every company knows that the bottom line is the almighty dollar.

I know the way I put it here, it seems so brash and blunt, but that's why these companies are in business: to make money.

And if money's to be mad, then anything can happen. ;)

How can Nintendo Blame Square for releaseing ff7 on ps1? I mean up until the gamecube came out they didn't have a system capable of holding any large amount of data. Nintendo was stupid for making the N64 a Cartridge system. I am really surprised the system lasted as long as it has. If it had been a cd system the games would have been much more detailed. Id say we would have voices for both the Zelda games, probably ff7 8 and 9 in 64-bit form and not 32-bit. I bet there would have been alot of cool cut scenes in both Zeldas. They really screwed up making it a cart instead of a CD system.

There is only 2 advantages to a Cart system.

1. They are more sturdy. Step on a CD or scratch it and you can ruin it.

2. Faster loading.

But look at the Disadvantages

1. Cost much more to produce. A CD costs less then a dollar while a cart is about 10 to 20 bucks.

2. Very Limited on Data. I think the most a n64 cart could hold was 32 megabytes. With Cd's its endless cause you can always prompt for disc 2 and so on.

3. Easier to bootleg. Much more sites with n64 roms then playstation iso's I bet

Thats all I have to say about that.
