It's about time they released a soundtrack for a Smash Bros. game. They probably won't have all the songs from the games, but still pretty awesome to finally have a soundtrack since the first game. That has me more excited than Shulk heh since I never played Xenoblade Chronicles, but I like the Japanese characters with his moves. Definitely more excited for this now. Of course the New 3DS and XL won't be released in the U.S. until after the WiiU version is released...

I haven't had my 3DS very long, and seeing that they're making a new one that will have certain games that won't work on the old 3DS is kinda irritating to me...

No, but there are other reasons to get both. They aren't the same game. Getting Mewtwo and the soundtrack CDs free when you buy both is just a bonus.

The WiiU version is definitely worth buying. There are a lot of game modes in that version that the 3DS one is not getting. If you have a WiiU, there's no reason to not get Smash.

The only thing you will see before march is a line-in rip, because you can't simply put the disc in your computer and rip it like you would as another type of disc. Wii U game discs are very stubborn when it comes to being able to be read on a computer.
