I dare say, it doesn't look half bad - as long as it's shawn of it's vague and now superfluous Fabula Nova Crystallis connections (Etro, fal'cie, i'cie, Focus etc), which is easily enough done (even though Etro technically is a major part of the game, all they have to do is give her a name change and that's all. ;)).

The GUI looks a little.... bland to be honest though. And I see Nomura is keeping with his normal style of the main cast wearing five shades of black leather (there's even a Cloud-clone in there!). In fact, it seems Nomura and Kitase are going for a noir look for the game this time compared to the ultra-neon-coloured style of FFXIII.

Still, I dare say this actually is shaping up to be very interesting (if nothing else, Stella looks cute while still retaining intelligence and grace which is a welcome change from the females of FFXIII).

Enkidoh (Good Cop) & Darth Revan (Bad Cop).

THERE! I SAID IT!. XD

Now on topic.

Lame, this game was announced when? 2006? After all this time, they suddenly rebranded it as XV. And it's all bullshit, cuz really it looks that PS3's Hardware could easily run the game. But they moved it to PS4.

A well deserved loss of money and a well deserved resign of past CEO.

Winds of Change blowing?

We'll see, so far it was Smoke and Mirrors, but I cannot fathom how could this was supposedly planned. I can only Imagine that most of this is Nomura's folly, after all, this is HIS FF right?

EDIT: Ranting outside, I was expecting this game to be released. Versus XIII I mean. Can't relate this as #XV.

On topic: Take a gander at this:

Final Fantasy XV Will Have Multiple Follow-Ups, Possibly Released as Episodic Content

Final Fantasy XV will spawn multiple follow ups, possibly in the form of episodic releases.

That’s according to Director Tetsuya Nomura, who has been discussing the development and the future of the game formerly known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

“In the [FFXV] trailer, there was a line that read ‘A World of the Versus Epic,’ which suggests that it will be part of an epic. While Final Fantasy XV will have one climax, as a story, we plan to continue it further,” Nomura told Famitsu (translated by Siliconera).

It’s how the developer intends to deliver the rest of this story that is most interesting, however, as Nomura hints at the possibility of episodic, digital releases.

“As for as how it will be released, we’ll announce that later on; however, having you wait a long while for a next title isn’t something we would desire… Also, we’ve been exploring online compatibilities ever since the shift towards the next-generation hardware was decided.”

Nomura continued, “There are many possibilities. To develop a big title for next-gen consoles, the development costs and time increases significantly, along with its entire scale. When it comes to offline games, even titles that have been in development for years can easily be played out in a short period of time.

“In order to increase the span of play time, I believe that online features are definitely required. Also, in order to keep the story and anticipation going, I believe that such features are needed, so we’re currently exploring possibilities.”

Of course, Nomura could be referring to some kind of multiplayer content, but we’d rather speculate that he’s considering going the episodic route. After all, Square Enix won’t want to step on the toes of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, its PS3 and PC MMO.

Beyond this, the FF director also apologised to the fans for the long wait for FFXV, which has been in development in different forms for many years.

“I deeply apologize for having you wait for so long,” he said. ‘I hope that our latest announcement has been able to meet all of your expectations.

“From this point on, the quality will only be getting better. There are many of you who feel that Japanese developers have fallen behind those from the West in the current generation. I believe that this title will show you otherwise for the next generation.”

Final Fantasy XV was announced at E3 2013 earlier this week. It's coming to Xbox One

Well... apart from FFXIO and FFXIVARR, the FF series died (for me) back with FFIX. This...? While it MAY work out well, buying a game and only getting part of it, then waiting for the rest to be released, smells of A: Laziness on SE's part to release a full and complete game and B: Milking more money from the masses. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah it reeks of lazyness and easy escape mechanisms.

Watch e3 trailer,if you pay attention,in the end when it shows all important characters,it shows them in specific order.I mean,Noctis then Stella,Regis (father of Noctis) then That old man who points his gun to Regis, and so on.Looks interesting, isn't it?Noctis vs Stella,Regis vs That old man.Characters renders are extremely beautiful and realistic.(Noctis and his team)And Stella, she is so cute and gorgeous!!!Music in new trailers are so epic!Yoko Shimomura surely knows how to make epic music with powerful chorus.Square Enix must release these two tracks for promotion, like they did Crimson blitz and The Savior from Lightning Returns.

Final Fantasy XV PC version ''undecided''
Final Fantasy Versus XIII was re-revealed as Final
Fantasy XV just over a week ago, and the fallout
from the brand-new series number is just
beginning to settle. Originally, the game was
intended to be on PlayStation 3 alone, but now
slated for next-generation consoles, the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The
team cites “several reasons” for the generational
leap in this week’s Famitsu. Director Tetsuya
Nomura was available, as well as Visual Field
Director Takeshi Nozue and co-director Hajime
Tabata (Final Fantasy Type-0, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII). During his on-air E3 Square Enix Presents
interview, director Tetsuya Nomura commented
that the game was being developed in a PC
environment, and that platforms that best
support DirectX 11 will be likely candidates for
the game’s appearance. While this may rule out a WiiU debut, it has led some PC fans to wonder if
Square Enix will throw a bone their way. Yoshihisa Hashimoto, Square Enix’s Chief
Technology Officer, has lead the charge into the
next-generation for the company with the
Luminous Engine that will host games such as
Final Fantasy XV. A PC version is currently
undecided, but “collaborations” with Luminous Studio are planned for the future. The game, as
per the team, will require a top of the line
(expensive) machine to run. It’s because of this
point that they want to see what the “demand”
will be from the PC audience (which is your cue
to let them know that you want it). What do you think about it?

Huh, I don't really like that decision to rename it, as it's not supposed to be played like a "normal" FF game and it's developed by the KH team, but hey, who cares? As long as the story and the gameplay is fun, I'll buy it. Probably for the PS4.

And I've been waiting for this game for seven years or so already. I hope it will be released next year, now that it's part of the main series. But as usual (obviously) Nomura can't promise a release date...

"The best Final Fantasy known to man"

I don't think so, today's FF is just about "closeted gay" guys and graphics but I think that XV looks a lot more interesting than the Lightning stuff :P

Loving the modern approach they've gone with this particular title. I just hope to god they've spent as much time and effort as they have with their older titles.
