What comes to My head whenever I listen to "Mars" from Gustav Holst.

The Venture Bros.: What Is Left Of My Bathroom - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfjj7Y9N27c)

That was How I was introduced to the song. I was never able to listen to it without bursting into laughter or grinning widely since then. :)

Thank You very Much for bringing back very found memories. (*Hugs You*)

Well, mine was this:

Space 1999 Space Brain - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0pIS9HVHdA&feature=player_detailpage#t=2601s)

("Mars" starts at 43:35 minutes)

I even thought it was composed for this episode, so I was very baffled when, years later, I heard Holst's "Planets" the first time in my life! :)

Thanks for the share, Duque!

Good post. I already have a slightly older version (it's been released several times, incl Mehta's 70th Birthday box set). I have the Decca LP, too. And MFSL released an OMR Lp in late 70s.
This recording is famous for engineering and performance -- some of the best I've heard. Decca 70s stuff is very HQ. And LA Phil + Mehta were probably at their combined peak, too. For my box set version, there are several pics of Williams and Mehta together during the recording (late 1977). So, Williams collaborated personally on this Decca project.
