Note: I decided to do something a little different with my works after The Incident at Goose Creek Vol. 1 which admittedly did not feature thematic style material versus say Blood Wings. I attempted to go back to my roots and expand upon Blood Wings hence why you will hear traces of the cues I used for Blood Wings in this work however it's not presented quite the same way. This symphony takes the time to flesh out cues versus just being a constant assault to the senses. I attempted to give this score a pulse but still kind of failed on developing a single personality for it as my music is meant to score my mentality at the time which is rather schizophrenic at times.

Movement 1 is a continuation (and conclusion) of the action material style featured in Vol. 1. From movement 2 onward, I experimented with different levels of suspense and horror to achieve what you're about to hear and hopefully you enjoy the insanity that is going to grace your ears and psyche. Movement 3 is where the insanity reaches its peak and movement 4 is my epic conclusion. I presented demo tracks for movements 1 and 2 here while the other 2 movements are previously unreleased.

The final project is mastered in 320 MP3 but the environment was a lot more lossless than my previous projects so I will be following the tradition of releasing 24 bit/48k FLAC upmixes at a later time.

After this, I plan on finishing Symphony No. 4: Murder on the Night Plains which will be my last horror effort as it takes too much out of me and will be experimenting with non-horror genres. Pleasant music in other words. In the meantime, enjoy this penultimate declaration of insanity!

Those curious to know which composers' music I used for this project, I'm being nice enough to include a movement by movement breakdown and be sure to notice I take it light on the Beltrami this go around to allow for more obscure composers' voices to be heard. They will be posted how they appear in the individual movements so don't be alarmed or confused to see the same composer and source title appear twice at different intervals within the same movement. The tracks are extremely chopped up and over/underlaying other music pieces so some of these I'm pretty sure you may not be able to pinpoint while others are glaringly obvious. Here's the breakdown:

Movement 1: Nathan Barr (Cabin Fever), Rogue Banos (Evil Dead), Daniel Licht (Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice), Shirley Walker (Final Destination 2), Tyler Bates (Slither), Daniel Licht (Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice), Marco Beltrami (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), John Ottman (Fantastic 4), Marco Beltrami (The Omen), John Ottman (House of Wax), Shirley Walker (Final Destination 2), Marco Beltrami (Scream 2), Brian Tyler (Final Destination 5), Shirley Walker (Final Destination), Krzysztof Penderecki (Cappricio for oboe & untitled vocal tracks), Nicholas Pike (Stephen King's Sleepwalkers), Tyler Bates (Slither), Bennett Salvay (Jeepers Creepers 2), Roger Cunningham (The Whistler, a score I'm sure you will probably never find; it's for a friend's film), Shirley Walker (Final Destination), Randy Miller (Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth). The Brian Tyler/Shirley Walker sections are what I dub the "Tyler/Walker Showdown" as I pit Tyler's homages against Walker's original themes in a very unique presentation that is brought to completion by the Penderecki Capriccio for oboe and vocal tracks that I overlayed at certain moments on top of the Tyler/Walker pieces. It's personally my top favorite tribute of any that I've done to this date.

Movement 2: Krzysztof Penderecki (Polymorphia & Threnondy for the Victims of Hiroshima [Greenwood/Penderecki Collaboration versions]), Elia Cmiral (Pulse), Dan Jones (Shadow of the Vampire), Richard Einhorn (Dead of Winter), Graeme Revell (The Hand that Rocks the Cradle) and John Ottman (Fantastic Four & The Invasion). The Richard Einhorn and Graeme Revell tracks don't exactly play straightforward, I chopped them up into sections and tied all the sections together. That's what makes working with 80's-90's the most fun because they all essentially sound the same with occasional change therefore easy to adapt to other pieces of the same decade.

Movement 3: Henryk Grecki (Already It is Dusk, performed by Kronos Quartet), Joseph Bishara (Insidious, good luck finding it), Arcade Fire (The Box), Pino Donaggio (Seed of Chucky), Marco Beltrami (Mimic), Jonny Greenwood (Superhet Popcorn Receiver), Henryk Grecki (Already It is Dusk, performed by Kronos Quartet), Alan Silvestri (Death Becomes Her, very short segment), Marc Shaiman (Misery, even shorter) and Henryk Grecki (Already It is Dusk, performed by Kronos Quartet).

Movement 4: Jonny Greenwood (Superhet Popcorn Receiver), Fernando Velazquez (The Orphanage), David Newman (Matilda), Jonny Greenwood (48 Responses to Polymorphia), Marco Beltrami (Mimic), Nathan Barr (Hostel Part II & Club Dread), Christopher Young (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), Nathan Barr (Hostel Part II), Christopher Young (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and Edgard Varse (Arcana).

Happy hunting!

It felt so weird seeing there Evil Dead, Final Destination, Seed of Chucky... and there it was, in Movement 4: Matilda.
