If you had to choose...

One final fantasy game out of all of them which would you choose? And based on what facts? Characters? Limit Breaks? Story Line?

I personally would chose ff7. I am not a fan of the graphics. However the story line makes up for it. I LOVE Sephiroth. He is one of my Favorite characters. As well as the triangle between tifa, cloud and aeris. Very easy for people to relate to. I liked the set up as well with the materia and slots(unlike the sphere grid in final fantasy X..Yuck!!). So what do you guys think?

FFVII was easily the best FF. Tactics, VI, and VIII tie for second, well ahead of all the rest as well. Gameplay was my favorite quality of VII while it also had the best story. The sidequests and mini-games make it no contest. The worst is, and will always be, IX.

I would pick FF6. its my favorite story line ever, and i love the characters. FF6 all the way

Final Fantasy IX.

Its depth of storyline, with its variaty of character personality.

The great cities and the small farm towns

The deceit. The war. The Love. The Honor.

The weapons, the battle system.

The powerful music, with its orchestral feel.

The dramatic Full Motion Videos that take you into the world of gaia.

The world itself, The countries, The islands.

The Airships, The Moogles, The Chocobos, And the Black Mages.

The Art. The Power...

The greatest game I have ever played.

Well if i had to choose to join a FF game it would be FF9
but FF7 is the best game all in all
but i love the idea of being in a 'Garden'

Final Fantasy 7 i luv Red XIII, he's so cute and to me the best non-human character Square's invented so far.

FFVII hands down, best story line, and so ground-breaking when it came out

Final Fantasy IX Rules All.It will always be my favorite and nothing can change that.

It has the best characters,story,battle system,ability system,sidequest,world map/cities and towns, and well just the best everything ;p. ^_^ I never get bored playing it.

Tied between FF Tactics (PSX) and FF 7.

Tactics because of the incredible job system and customization of characters, and a kickass story. 7 because of storyline and the minigames areas (I mean, c'mon, nothing has beaten the Gold Saucer yet in terms of fun, I've killed untold hours there).

Now that I think about it, Tactics was better, so there's my favorite.

FFTactics for me. I've played that game longer than any other FF, the story is great, the amount of variety you have is amazing no two games are ever the same.


FFVI comes in a close second simply because every character in that game is amazing.

VI.
Its the only game I've ever loved entirely. The fact that I can find at least a bit of myself in every single character ('cept maybe Gogo and Umaro, but they still have qualities I can relate to --- "too shy to talk" and extreme rage) helps a lot.
The storyline is amazing, and, in my opinion, better than FFVIIs. I mean, I missed a lot of stuff the first time through VI, but my second time I did all the sidequests and found out all about everyone's back history (barring Gogo and Umaro, again, and Mog's isn't really expanded).
FFVII's storyline was just.... complicated.... and too... weird... for me. It doesn't help that Yuffie, Cait Sith, Vincent, Cid, Aeris, and Red XIII had absolutley nothing I could relate myself too, and seemed to just be thrown in there, although Yuffie does get her time to shine and piss you off, and Cid does help a little bit.
Aeris wasn't really needed, and she dragged down the storyline's possible goodness by making it have WAY too many Biblical parallels. Not to mention that having a main character die after you've worked on them a long time isn't original to VII.

FF& rules . i agree red 13 the best non-human definatly my fav character aswell . Tifa also done it for me shes my 2nd fave grl (Rikku just got 1st by soooo little) . yeah the sphere grid sucks the way ff7 works out nothing can beat it except graphics-wise

I think I would pick 7 overall and 9 as a close 2nd :D
