I'd just like to add that this is not only THE TEMPTER/THE ANTICHRIST but also the romance movie BURIED ALIVE. In fact, there's more music from the latter than the former. There's more music in THE ANTICHRIST than has been recorded, lots of it seemingly lab created by Morricone and/or Nicolai (Many composers at the time composed music that involved post-performance tampering). I guess much of it was regarded as unappealing for independent listening.

I'm sort of mystified when it says that the music was composed and played by Morricone and Nicolai. Who did what? Since Nicolai was an organist, I guess the organ cue was written and played by him. Then there's the other piece (two violins plus harpsichord). That would be Morricone's, presumably. Maybe the two guys were playing the violins and then one (Nicolai?) did the harpsichord bit at the end. Or maybe it was one guy who did all the parts separately and then dubbed them together.

I caught this late on the horror channel a couple of nights ago, some interesting scenes, but pretty dreadful, unashamed exorcist rip-off,and released in the same year.

Antichrist is a good movie, a bit more bizarre than the exorcist. Should have been more music from the movie on the CD.
