ODST's extraction has pushed back my intended release schedule. That being said, I was able to extract H4's
score with the appropriate tools. While ODST is still some time out, enjoy the beginning of the Reclaimer Trilogy.
If you have purchased both volumes of the Halo 4 soundtrack, you pretty much have 80-90% of the score.
The difference here is most of the music is layered, so maybe you could use some of it for remixes or what not.
Cinematic music is layered with SFX so, if it is of any use to you, more power.
The formats are native ogg and flac, these were NOT converted, they do not have any file names, that's up to you.

Unfortunately, no. One because I don't have access to those files and two if I did I don't know if the program will be able to open them. Plus If I remember correctly the rest of SOPS music was just rehashed from the main campaign. There wasn't any new music.

Most likely to save capacity (Often a necessity in the later years of the Seventh Gen). Audio's usually the biggest memory taker (At least if Titanfall serves as an example, who's PC release had 35/50GB of it's size dedicated to it's uncompressed audio, but that was due to the fact all localised dialogue was included in every copy worldwide). A great many Xbox 360 titles sacrificed audio fidelity presumably because of this (Far Cry 2, Borderlands 2, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto V, a great many others post-2008) Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST & Halo: Reach did end up having some of their audio decompressed, but that was mostly reserved for dialogue and/or certain SFX & wasn't too significant in most cases. Since Halo 4 was already forced to use two discs, 343 Industries probably felt obligated to decompress whether was possible. They certainly shaved a lot more "non-essential" features too. Just one of numerous signs that Halo 4 should've been allowed to be an Xbox One title from the beginning.

That's a good point. I've not played Halo 4 on the MCC yet. It would be interesting to see if it still is very compressed. Which would be really stupid considering it's a next gen title and the entirety of it is like 65GB..

However Halo 4 was awfully compressed (e.g. the cutscenes sounded like <100kbps bitrate).
Would be interesting to compare the 360's extracted game sounds with the ones of the Xbox One's MCC. But I didn't found anything about extracting Xbox One games so far. Seems we have to wait..):

I'd like to think it's not (They already cut too many corners for my liking with the Collection, and it would seem they're doing the same for the Halo 3: ODST - Apology Edition, unless "Campaign" does infact include the Firefight mode as the Games on Demand Edition did). But since I've only got my pretty bare-essential TV speakers (I've not found the worth in investing a headset for the Xbox One, let alone one that isn't wireless), I can't be sure based on the naked ear-drum.

I've got the game files for it & you can find them here to download individually for yourself: Map Files (http://haloce3.com/xmf/), but Adjutant's not able to get anything out of them. Quite a shame too. That's where most of the more entertaining dialogue lay, especially with Roland. But then again, Adjutant can't get anything music related out of Halo 4 at all, among a significant amount of other sound categories, so hopefully you'll have more luck with your tricks if you haven't already tried.

I know this might be a really newbie question, and I'm pretty late to this thread, but how do I extract these files? I figured they would download as parts of zip files, but they get these .001,.002, etc extensions on them and I can't extract them. :/ I just need a hint if anyone can help me >.<

I'm still waiting for SpOps season 1.5 rip. Contrary to popular belief, there is in fact some new music in it. Also like to get Halo 5 rip as well, whenever someone comes up with a way to access Xbox One disc files.

7zip works great for .001 files but Winrar also works if you set Winrar as the default program for .001 files in windows.
