I think a thread like this has already been done, but not sure. Anyway in this thread, trailers could be for a movie or TV show. I think the one already crated is for movies only?

I don't pay a whole lot of attention to trailers, but one that was misleading (in a bad way) was Dan in Real Life. The trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SqaWEBSd4g) made it look funny but it wasn't. It was probably one of the most boring movies I've ever seen, comedy or not.

Dan in Real Life is funny. Seinfeld is an amazing sitcom. And The Grudge is a fantastic horror film.

Well, not to me but everyone has different tastes. I have always respected your opinions, so I was hoping you could respect my views too, even if we don't agree.

in 1977 - this trailer was groundbreaking, just like the Alien trailer in 1979

The extended Cloud Atlas trailer is the best ever!

One of the best was for The Hunger Games, they avoided to spoil the best parts of the movie and the book.

I'm a big James Bond fan, but most of the early trailers were quite rubbish.

The best trailer today and in the last 20 years is SPIDER-MAN (2002) "You do too much, your not Superman you know"

Two trailers that I absolutely despised, are ones that I just saw recently.

1. Carrie (2013)- Thanks for spoiling the movie.
2. Paranoia- Not only did the trailer completely spoil the movie, it made it look like such a generic, poorly acted, poorly directed piece of garbage. I'm so glad that this movie bombed the way it did.

I actually liked the Carrie trailer. Made me anticipate the movie and re-read the book by Stephen King.

Scary Movie had a funny trailer with the Beetlejuice music, but when the movie arrived it sucked...

The Crow is one of the greatest trailers I have seen

Miami Connection, it's literally a 80's/90's video game beat em up in movie/trailer form.

X-Men: Days of Future Past, the first teaser trailer with John Murphy's music was the worst trailer ever made.

The abrupt cutting of the music to match the scenes was just horrid and jarring.
Sounds like a 14 year old nephew of one of the studio fat owners did it.
