Remember any quote from any show or any that are stuck in your head? Put em here!

"You have failed this city!" - Oliver Queen from Arrow

"For the righteous, a revelation is a joyous event. The realization of a defined truth. But for the wicked, revelations can be far more terrifying.....when dark secrets are exposed.....and sinners are punished for their trespasses." - Emily Thorn, opening narration to Revenge episode, Revelations

"I am vengeance. I am The Night. I AM BATMAN!" Batman, TAS episode, Nothing to Fear

More to come later.

"In the end, humans are all alone. You have your own life, and other people have their own. Even those stars that seem to be packed shoulder to shoulder in the night sky are actually separated by vast distances. In between those stars there's nothing but dark, cold, cruel space."
- Planetes

"Man has always feared the darkness, carving away at it with fire."

"There are as many truths as there are people."
- Neon Genesis: Evangelion

"Through the dark of futures past, the magician longs to see. One chants out between two worlds. Fire walk with me."
- Twin Peaks

"Death is certain, its hour uncertain."

"All men have a blade in their heart. The purer the heart the keener the blade."
- Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo

"[He] believed light can keep darkness at bay. But I wonder if darkness is defined by light. If so, darkness can't exist on its own. There must, by definition, be light somewhere, waiting to be found."

"I'm Dexter and I'm not sure what I am. I just know there's something dark in me and I hide it. I certainly don't talk about it. But it's there ...always... this dark passenger. And when he's driving, I feel alive, half sick with the thrill of complete wrongness. I don't fight him. I don't want to. He's all I've got. Nothing else could love me, not even... especially not me. Or is that just a lie the dark passenger tells me? Because lately there are these moments when I feel connected to something else, to someone. And it's like the mask is slipping and things, people who never mattered before are suddenly starting to matter. It scares the hell out of me."
- Dexter

"Man imagines that he too can open up his heart and expose the burning passion, the flames of charity like the creator himself, but this is not in his power. But man's only power -- only true power is to destroy it."
- The X-Files, "Milagro"

"Nostalgia. It's delicate but potent. In Greek, it literally means the pain from an old wound. It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. It takes us to a place we ache to go again. It lets us travel the way a child travels. Around and around and back home again to a place where we know we are loved."
- Mad Men, "The Wheel"

"The world is not a pretty thing when you look at it too close. We fell in love with atrocity. We make pornography and call it news. A daily fix of horror. We think the coming disaster is ecological. That the problem is political, but no, no. The great war is psychological. We have made ourselves into fat and faded wheezing animals; educated in apathy, amused by cruelty."
- The Prisoner

"I already know they're here so it's not a surprise to me. But you have to understand when you're dealing with ghosts you're dealing with people that were alive a long time ago. That is still a rush. And it'll still startle you because it's not just a physical thing. They can do stuff to you on the inside. And that's where it gets dangerous."
- Zak Bagans, Ghost Adventures

"It is said that life's encounters are governed by fate. Tangled up in the threads of fate are the ill-fated blossoms, pitiful and frail. Lost in anger, sorrow, and tears. Beyond the veil of midnight, the retribution that you are helpless to reap shall be yours..."
- Hell Girl prologue

"My soul is wrapped in harsh repose,
Midnight descends in raven-colored clothes,
But soft... Behold!
A sunlight beam cutting a swath of glimmering gleam.
My heart expands,
'Tis grown a bulge in it,
Inspired by your beauty... Effulgent."
- "For Cecily" by Spike, Angel series finale

"I have no speech, no name.
I live in the action of death,
The blood cry, the penetrating wound.
I am destruction --
Absolute, alone."
- The first slayer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

"My heart aches with pain
When I see you I vomit
Die away from me."
- Hyde (to Jackie) on That 70's Show

"If sons are not greater than their fathers then the world will die."

"A man survives by forgetting his memories."
- Neon Genesis: Evangelion

"God didn't create humans. Humans created God."

"Do you know what the greatest and worst invention that humans ever made was? Television. Television controls people using information and steals their sense of reality. Yes, now television is a religion."
- Dr. Londes, "Brain Scratch"

"Look at these eyes. One of them is fake because I lost it in an accident. Since then, I have been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. I had believed that what I saw was not all of reality. I thought I was watching a dream that I would never awaken from. Before I knew it the dream was all over."
- Spike, "The Real Folk Blues" Part II

"They often say that humans can't live alone, but you can live pretty long by yourself. Instead of feeling alone in a group it's better to be alone in your solitude."
- Faye Valentine, "Jupiter Jazz" Part I

"Life is but a dream..."
- Cowboy Bebop

"We bury our dead alive, don't we? We hear them every day. They talk to us. They haunt us. They beg us for meaning. Conscience... it's just the voices of the dead... trying to save us from our own damnation."

"A dream is an answer to a question we haven't learned how to ask."

"A child is father to the man"

"The truth is out there."
- The X-Files

"A lie is most convincingly hidden between two truths."
- Deepthroat, The X-Files

"Death no longer terrifies man. The smell of blood is as common as the smell of white plums. So, he creates slavery and savagery which surpass the horror of dying. These can only be fought with more bloodshed, and the cycle never ends."

"There will be a new world where man will live in peace; my bloody hands and sword assure its creation. I will dispense the will of the gods to the old order. I will... I will... murder!"
- Samurai X

"Only one truth prevails."
- Case Closed

"Destination is a state of mind."

"Life... It begins when you first make distinction between yourself and others.. From that moment on the world becomes a stage for the story in which you are the main character. All people live in a fantasy in which they are the main character."
- Kino's Journey

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can creep or crash. Be water, my friend.
Like everyone else, you want to learn the way to win, but never to accept the way to lose - to accept defeat. To learn to die is to be liberated from it. So when tomorrow comes you must free your ambitious mind and learn the art of dying!

Two more quotes I collected recently from two great shows

"What we perceive as solid matter is mostly empty space. Just as we may perceive that a life is full that is actually a series of empty encounters."
- Walter Bishop in Fringe season 1, "Safe"

"The mirrors in your mind can reflect the best of yourself, not the worst of someone else."
- Hannibal season 1, "Amuse-Bouche"

A slight thread revival (although it's not even eight months old and is only on the second page), but I thought it's not worth making a new thread on this subject with this too close to it.

Anyway...

Battlestar Galactica (reimagined)

(Zarek and Gaeta have just overthrown both the command of Galactica and the Fleet's civilian government and are broadcasting to President Roslin to surrender herself to them.)

Zarek: "This is Tom Zarek, President of the Twelve Colonies. It's over, Laura. Saul Tigh was killed attempting to escape. Bill Adama was tried and found guilty of his crimes. A firing squad executed him this morning. It's done, Laura. You want to think about the people of this Fleet now, and surrender."
Roslin: "No. Not now. Not ever. Do you hear me? I will use every cannon, every bomb, every bullet, every weapon I have, down to my own eyes and teeth, to end you! I swear it! I'm coming for all of you!"

Probably still the greatest quote in the entire series. :D

From "Everybody Loves Raymond"
Doris Roberts: "I have a mind of my own. I contribute. I'm not just a trophy wife!"
Peter Boyle (after a long incredulous pause): "You're a trophy Wife? What contest in Hell did I win?"
