Henry Jackman has been hired to score CAPTAIN AMERICA - THE WINTER SOLDIER. The film is set to release on April the 4th, 2014.

holy cow!! i was actually hoping this is just rumor but if it's true what a total bummer. i would still prefer if Silvestri is to return and see how he develop or move his score from the first one and after being disappointed with Jackman's GIJoe Retaliation i'm not excited how he's going to handle this one.
on second thought, i'll just wait and see how it turned out after all he might nail this one instead.

I loved Henry Jackman's work on X-Men: First Class and Puss In Boots but G.I. Joe: Retaliation was a bit of a let down. I hope he'll redeem himself in my eyes with this. Oh, and Henry? Please use Silvestri's theme.

I wish Alan Silvestri would have returned for it. His first score was interesting and a great throwback to his heydays.
