What are your favorite features in a game? Do you like having a password system for infinite lives or ammo etc.? The graphics? It can be anything basically... even something simple like in the options menu.

One feature I really like is sidequests. I LOVE me a good, long, tedious, rewarding sidequest! Especially if it has a really good and helpful reward in the end. But I don't like when after you do a sidequest, as great as the reward is, you won't really need it anymore. Still, it makes the game seem longer and it's nice for people like me who want to get the full experience out of the game.

Another feature I like, is when a game has Dolby Pro Logic II Surround Sound. Especially if it has deep bass. Like in The Legend of Zelda: The WInd Waker for example, when you're in Dragon Roost Island when the volcano erupts, the ground literally shakes. It was so awesome the first time I tried it on my surround sound system I have now. So I like Earth shaking bass and nice environment sounds in a game too, like waterfalls and stuff.

Changing difficulties is another one that's good to me. Then it wouldn't be the same as each time you play the game, it will be more difficult the next time. Like in the Resident Evil series when the harder difficulties have less ammo, health, can't take as much damage etc. Then you have to use ammo more wisely and just makes it more suspenseful.

What are your favorite features?

Anything that allows me to replay it or extend the gameplay. Side quests, unlocking things such as characters, costumes, levels, difficulty, etc. The main thing for me though, and I don't think this is really a feature though, would be how addicting it is. Because if I don't like it at all or not enough to replay, none of features really matter.

Other things like acting, cut scenes, graphics, music are all good too. As well as the ability to free roam.

I really love sidequests, as long as they aren't tedious (FFX lightning dodging I'm looking at you). I really enjoy the chocobo sidequests in VII-IX, especially hot and cold in IX, that game was rewarding. Changing difficulties is also a bonus. I suck at playing games even though I love them, so I always try at the lowest difficulty possible the first play through. I also love big world maps, I don't car for much linearity. Some games that do have linearity do feel slightly more open than it actually is and that's ok too, but I prefer openness to explore.

Big fan of minigames which don't effect the main storyline like in the Professor Layton games. I think my favorite was the Parrot minigame.

I also love when a game has replayability which is one reason why I enjoy Hotel Dusk: Room 215 so much. When you play through a second time the conversations (and certain events) are different. There's also an extra side-quest which adds to the ending.

Easter eggs :D sometimes are very funny, for example Brahmin armor in Fallout Tactics, if you gonna wear that armor, your char turns into....yep into Brahmin :).

Skipping cutscenes especially if it takes longer to watch a cutscene than it does to kill the boss following it (especially if it's in that order).

Yea I like minigames too...if you count the Blitzball thing as a minigame...and the gummi ship missions. (I like the blitzball thing the most since it taught me how to reflect a ball like attack or ability from an enemy)
