Same as the game/system one but applies to the most money you have spent on a movie or tv show.

Most I've spent on a movie is Pirates of the Carribean Four-Movie Collection blu-ray box set for $170. I bought it the 2nd day it came out since I was on my way home from a vacation the day before. Otherwise, I would have got it the 1st day. I also have a tendancy to buy box sets for some reason...

Most I've spent on a tv show is Baccano! Blu-Ray Disc BOX at $70. Totally worth it since it's one of my top favorite animes.

Most movies I own came from bargain bins or were purchased at regular price around the time they were released on dvd. The ones that were most expensive were dvds/vhs which are currently out of print.

Clownhouse (1989) - Purchased it as a gift for my gf. It cost around $50 since it's out-of-print and there's a certain controversy which surrounds the film (director Victor Salvas molested one of the children who starred in the movie).

A few others which cost around the $40-$50 mark were Drop Dead Fred, Fright Night Part II, and To All a Good Night (VHS).

The two most expensive tv collections I've purchased are The Twilight Zone complete collection ($125) and the Twin Peaks seasons 1&2 Gold Edition ($90).

Purchased The Twilight Zone collection for my gf's xmas gift. Even though $125 seems steep, I actually purchased it on Amazon's Black Friday. The original price was around $200.

The Twin Peaks collection has recently come down in price but I originally purchased it when it first was released.

The only disc(s) I've bought on day of release in the past few years is the Avengers Box because I wanted Iron Man I and II on blu.

The stand alone Avengers blu was 20. The box was 38 and had 6 movies!! Well, 5 movies and Thor.

If you wait a few months you can usually get films for half their day of release price. I'm happy to wait.

I was thinking about that Avenegers Box Set set too. It's $150 American, but I don't love the other movies as much as Avengers, so I probably wouldn't get it.

I was surprised it was so cheap over here. That doesn't usually happen.

I just checked amazon (where I bought mine) and it's still only at 40. I got the pre-order price which was a few quid cheaper.

I  Iron Man... and I liked Capt America. It's flawed but it made me grin inanely in places. :erm:

Well I do like Iron Man, but I didn't care for the 2nd one... so I wouldn't spend money on that one even if it is in a box set. :P

Yeah I didn't like second one much either. But I bought the box set anyway because it was part of the storyline. A major part actually since Fury and Widow are in it quite a bit and because of the post-credits scene. The movie wasn't that bad. Just not as good as first. Don't care for ratings since to me, they're nothing but numbers. But I'm not spending money on watching the third till I like the reviews I read for it. I usually do this for every movie since for the past I don't know how many years exactly. they've been hit or miss and more often, worse than just a simple miss.

I probably didn't even notice Nick Fury and Widow the 1st (and only) time I've watched it. I might have to watch it again for that, and the post-credits scene. I also plan on watching the 3rd one since it's the first follow up movie after Avengers. The main reason I didn't care for the 2nd one, is because it was basically just Tony drinking the whole time, and there wasn't any action until the last 10 mintues...

Well I also felt they didn't use WM to his full potential. They should have had him doing more in the armor suit than he actually did. I mean, he was in the suit for a fair amount of time. But not alongside Tony which he is mostly known for as I understand it.

The Hulk II is in question. But considering how the 2008 movie ended, there should either be a 2nd or a reboot since Edward's no longer involved so I don't know if its believable to have a different actor (Ruffalo) be in the sequel. I think this may be one of the issues whether they wanna admit it or not.

The most I've spent on one thing is $170 on the Charmed: The Complete Series (Limited Deluxe Edition). I buy many TV show DVDs, so if you count up each individual set, like 12 seasons of Murder, She Wrote, then that's a lot of money.
