Xiahou Dun's thread has inspired me to start this one (well I actually stole his idea) :D

Patlabor is without a doubt one of my all-time favourite animes. I still rate the 1st movie my personal favourite anime movie of all time . While it was the mech design that originally attracted me to the story, it was the strong characters and the rich back story that really got me hooked in the end. Patlabor rox!
