Anyone heard anything about this score? Jay-Z and his disciples of innovative musical pioneering seem to have taken over the spotlight. Any news of a release including Craig Armstrong's music?

Haven't heard anything yet, but I must say that Filter's cover of The Turtles' "Happy Together" is amazing. "No Church in the Wild" I am just downright sick of. It was used in Safe House, it's in that god-awful Dodge Dart commercial (which looks absolutely nothing like the original, at least the Challenger and Charger do), and now it's in The Great Gatsby trailer. Good song, but so sick of it

I can't help but feel (and can practically guarantee) that there is no doubt that the score will be overshadowed by the OST. And THIS is the reason why when you see a reviewer on iTunes bitching that a film's score should have the VA songs on it. Normally a film like this wouldn't have such a glitzy, glamorous OST. Wait, we're talking about The Great Gatsby, right???

Some of the promo clips from the movie have glimpses of Craig Armstrong's score. It's a shame, because I think Dakota's exactly right. We'll be lucky if we even hear a whisper of the score existing at all, let alone see a release.

I really wish there was a score release to this movie...is real disappointing that the ost/soundtrack is just of jazzy hip hop rap which all isn't bad. There were some beautiful themes and pianos throughout the movie but of course because JayZ (horrible) is behind all this we cant find anything on the actual themes..go figure.

Really hope that this score gets released.

I can say the same thing with all these composers which great works are overshadowed by crappy pop songs.
