Batman Arkham City - Since they had Catwoman playable during the main game, I would add Robin and Nightwing to Story Mode Plus to extend the main story by giving them their own story. I'd have Dick eventually ditch the Robin costume and become Nightwing. I'd explain Dick becoming Nightwing by having him stage in a cut scene that he feels Bruce did a lot for him, but he feels like now he can be on his own. The scene would end with him packing up to move out of Wayne Manor.
In another scene, Jason Todd becomes the second Robin.

I'd also add some Legends Of Batman costumes like Cyborg Batman for starters. There would also be a point in the game where you'd have to use certain vehicles to progress in the game as well as be in the Bat Cave to do some detective work.

Why? Because I figured since they're all playable in challenges, they should have been part of the main game. If you think about it, Robin or Nightwing, depending on who you choose could have been factored into the game anyway by having Batman so sick that he'd be rendered unconscious somewhere leaving Dick Grayson to be Gotham's hero and be the bad guys while locating Batman, rescuing him for Joker & Quinn, then taking him back to the Cave. As for the added costumes, I'd have them because I like Cyborg Batman. I still have that figure.

Ultimate Alliance 2 - I'd just have all the omitted characters from the first game playable. I would wanna do a Fusion attack with Iron Man and Cyclops for instance. As the game progresses, I'd allow a 3 hero Fusion and eventually a 4 hero Fusion. But the catch with those 3 or 4 hero Fusions is you can only do them once in a level in order to not make things too easy.

Why? To make the game more fun lol! And to prevent it from being as repetitive as it actually was as things got redundant too soon for me.

That's it for now.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 - I would change a lot of things in this game since it was basically all recycled material and music from the previous NSMB games. I would have wanted it to be an actual updated version of Super Mario Bros. 2 which was actually what I originally hoped for when I first heard of this game. For single player, you could choose to be Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Peach like in the original game, and if it would have multiplayer; P1=Mario, P2=Luigi, P3=Toad, P4=Peach. It would have basically the same mechanics of the original like climbing up vines, throwing vegetables, going in subspace etc.

Why the changes? - Because Super Mario Bros. 2 IMO really deserves an update like Super Mario Bros. had... many times. Of course it's not likely to happen since it's the least popular of the original SMB games, and one of the least popular Mario games overall but it's still a fun game that was very different compared to other 2D Mario games, so it would be nice to have a modern version of it for the newer generation instead of just being a 1 time only thing...

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - The main thing I would change about this game is the development time it originally had since it basically only had 1 year. If it had more time, it maybe could have been released on the GameCube with better graphics, new character models, and possibly longer length with more locations, dungeons, temples, sidequests etc.

Why the changes? - It's my favorite Zelda game and is also very unique compared to the other Zelda games so this just something I thought that could have made it even better if it didn't such short development time. And the GameCube obviously has much better graphics compared to the N64, and it could have had the dark, apocalyptic atmosphere it deserves. It also probably would be more popular than it is now since it was kind of overlooked cause it was released near the end of the N64's life.

I'll try to think of more...

Final Fantasy VIII - The part of the plot where every one grew up together in the orphanage? Change it to something less ridiculous.

Final Fantasy IX - Change trance to something similar to FFVII, so you can actually use it and it's not wasted. So many wasted trances on something inferior like goblins or trances at the end of battle that could never be used because they don't carry over to other battles.

Final Fantasy X - Get rid of that laughing scene. I found the mute button to be wonderful, but I can still hear it in my head.

Why the changes? - I'm not really sure they need explained, but they were all pretty bad and could use a swift kick to the rear.

Final Fantasy VII

Script: A better translation (Rebirth/Sepher Sephiroth), no more Nomura's gay ideas.

Supernova: The original version is beautiful.

The Last Story

Script: Nintendo said that The Last World (original title) was too dark, so Mistwalker changed the story.

I really want updated games of SMB3 and SMWorld. Like SMB1, they were better than SMB2.

I don't know if you've played any of the NSMB games, but there is actually a bunch of elements and enemies from SMB3 and SMW. NSMBWii and NSMBU has Yoshi's, all the Koopalings, Ghost Houses, and even Boom-Boom and Reznor as castle bosses. NSMB2 has the raccoon suit. So IMO I think the NSMB games are like an update of SMB, SMB3, and SMW combined. I don't know, maybe I'm the only person who likes SMB2 and would actually like an update of it...

No I'd also like to see an update to SMB2 also. And while the NSMB game is an update to those games, its all combined as you said. I was trying to say that I wanted SMW to have an update on its own, not in combination with something else. Really All-Stars (with SMW) is what should be updated since that is heralded as the best Mario game as it has all the most memorable, popular, and played Mario games in its long history.

Having a new Mario game where things were topsy-turvy with the bad guys being good and playbale while the good guys are bad would be interesting.

I love the Professor Layton series but it would be nice to have at least one of the games have a true adventure game interface to it. The way it is now you pretty much just solve puzzles to advance through the story.

I would like to see one where you carry items which you can show to people for different reactions. Basically mixing it with the style of another favorite game of mine, Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Definitely keep the puzzles but give the player more control over solving the game's mysteries.

:p

Seriously though I would have remade FFXIII with... well, scrap everything in it and start again. But the most pressing things, are, remove that stupid 'game over when the main character dies', give direct player control to all three party members at the same time, and, bring back explorable zones and a world map (no, Archlytte Steppe on Pulse on the last chapter doesn't count) And that reminds me, scrap the stupid chapter system. This isn't a DVD film with scene selection. ><

And finally add a Snow punching mini-game, where the objective is to have Lightning beat him into a bloody pulp out of revenge. ;)
