One of the few games that deserve to be called "Hardcore": The story is disurbing, the monsters are gross and the soundtrack is awesome.

People who hates the game: Priests (satanic imagery) and sensitive persons (Eric and Dylan's story).

Battletoads because its so hard.

Chakan the Forever Man on the Sega Megadrive... almost made me tear my hair out in frustration. Fun game til the final boss WHICH WAS UNKILLABLE... ugh

If you're talking about Insane games, Suda51 is kind of a given, yeah?
Their games tend to be pretty 'out there'.

Maybe not as hard as a Treasure game, but they have their moments of 'dah fuk is DAT?'.

Dragon Age: Origins had a insane moment for myself, when I was going for the Grim Reaper achievement. Lots of anger, yelling etc was heard then...

batman forever on the sega saturn is also a pretty wtfish game. supposedly a beat em up. look it up in screwattacks vault for a breif yet 100%accurate description of the game.

Artstyle wise, I guess Okami. I haven't seen the HD version, so I don't know if it looks even more insanely good in HD, but I'm assuming it does.

I guess the WarioWare games can be considered insane.

Tbh I didn't love 999 mainly for all the dialogue you have to run through each time you play it. I got 2 endings and haven't picked it up since. Maybe one day.

And yes I've played both TD games. They were nice and quirky. Also loved the character design.
