Was the CD a re-arrangement or just this exact score same recording but cut down in places?

Yes, cut down in places, but done so by a music editor creating a concert presentation for a better listening experiece as Sanico said here (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/metropolis-gottfried-huppertz-world-premiere-mp3-320kbps-98000/#post2099069).
