So there was a short run of music videos where the music was stretched to %800.
The PaulStretch software doesn't stretch music according to percentages.
But my multipliers (cents).
You can go 8.023348 if you want.
You can either enter the numbers if you want or use the slider to change the speed.
The Software:
Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch (AKA PaulStretch) (FREEWARE!)
hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/
Sony Sound Forge (with iZotope Ozone 5 VST plugins) (Neither are free)
Sony Vegas Pro 12 (with DebugMode FrameServe) (SVP12 not free)
DebugMode FrameServer is freeware!
www.debugmode.com/frameserver/
I did a few music conversions where it starts out normally then drops to around 4x the normal playback speed.
The first run I did was uploaded to my old youtube account.
I didn't do too much work in the way of editing.
YOUTUBE VIDEO:
Inception - Edith Piaf "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" - The Kick - Sparktank's "Slow Motion Dream Edit", x2 slower than normal. (http://youtu.be/TvvTm33xyDU)
I also made a 4x and a 10x version of the song too.
Ultimately, the 2x version sounds the closest to the movie...for Level 1 dreams. The much slower versions would be more appropriate for the deeper levels of sleep.
0:04 slows down
0:07 Half Remembered Dream cue
0:18 Edith Piaf continues in slow motion
And now I just did another one today, but uploaded to my newest youtube account (since they merged youtube and google).
YOUTUBE VIDEO:
Judy Garland - Over the Rainbow (Kansas Dream Edit) (http://youtu.be/uelpvuA52h8)
(Warning: I had to acknowledge that it contains content that matches third-party copyrights. Currently two copyright holders have it tagged. So it may or may not have ads; it may or may not be viewable to the public in the foreseeable future. SO WATCH IT QUICK BEFORE IT'S TAKEN DOWN!)
1:42 it begins to slow down to 400% playback speed in slow motion.
Technical Details:
I used the original song and then overlapped several slowed down versions.
Time lapse: 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 4x.
I used Sony Sound Forge to convert the audio to 64 bit (IEE) floating point and upscaled the sample rate to 192kHz (iZotope 64-bit SRC: Simplified Highest Quality: 100) and saved as a really huge WAV file.
I imported the upscaled WAV to PaulStretch and used the following settings:
Speed: 1.5
Window: 24K
Algo: Hann
Bit depth: 32
After I did this for various speeds, I imported the files back into SSF and began editing/fading/overlapping until I was satisfied with the mix.
I then downsampled the Sample Rate back to 44.1 (iZotope 64-bit SRC: Simplified Highest Quality: 100) and then reduced the bit depth back to 16 (iZotope MBIT+ dither: [Sys] Convert to 16 bit (advanced non-shaped dither)).
The WAV file for the 64 it (IEE) floating point, 192kHz was 1.0 GB in total!
The downscaled/restored bit depth, sample rate (16/44.1) was 57.5 MB.
More to come soon.
Post yours or others.
