Could anyone recommend me some good art programs similar to Photoshop?

Paintshop Pro, either 7 or 8.

You should be able to get a free trial off the Jasc website.

It can't do as much as photoshop, but you can still do a lot with it, and it's a lot easier to pick up then photoshop.

I use the GIMP, which is open source and free. It's supposed to be decent- around PSP quality, but I honestly don't know since I don't use it for much more than resizing images and then changing levels.

anyone know where I can find a Photoshop or Paintshop Pro trial crack?

I heard that when you purchase the software they include a crack in the box.
