Thank you, but the Hans Zimmer has a problem. It starts to extract then an error pops up claiming it's the wrong password or currupt file yet I put in hz_t like the thread here says, not sure what's wrong.

Then the file is probably corrupted, just redownload it. I just checked the rar again on my PC and the password is definitley "hz_t". It was a prefix for most of the ingame music files, so I chose that.

Many thanks for these! The COD4 soundtrack is so difficult to get- why it was never released is beyond comprehension!

The World At War score is even more rare ... especially the clean sounding promo score (most ingame music is distorted beyond listening pleasure) which is nowhere to be found.

Also, quick question: where do these complete scores come from? Are they the most complete & official versions available? Asking because the Modern Warfare tracklisting seems a lot shorter than some of the other "complete scores" out there.

They come directly from the gamefiles. Unfortunately I only now realised (by now I mean in the past year or so) how terrible the source quality actually is, COD4 PC has 128kbps, at least MW2 and MW3 are VBR on PC, a *lot* better on console. CoD4 on console has VBR mp3s.

COD4 is probably a lot shorter because I combined all the countdown mission tracks into a single one. I did that for a lot of tracks in all of the osts.

As for completeness, they're as complete as they can be. I double and triple checked this whole stuff many times back then to figure out which exact file was playing where, so I'm rather confident they're complete. I was an idiot though and didn't save my MW2 compilation project, only MW3 and CoD4 I think (although CoD4 really wasn't that much trouble).

You could possibly use the xma files from the Xbox 360 versions, that would be the best quality possible, since they are lossless (I'm fairly sure).

If they're identically titled as the PC files, it could be as easy as just replacing them.

COD4 has XMA on 360? That'd be nice. The files probably won't be the same, but that's not that much of a problem. Even though I don't have the project for MW2 anymore it wouldn't be that hard to put it all back together by using my rendered files as reference. COD4 especially, that one was easy, only a handful of edits. PS3 COD4 was unnamed mp3s in a dumpfile btw.

If you have any idea where I could get my hands on a XBOX360 iso of CoD4 ... well PM me.

I know that MW2 and MW3 are way better quality on consoles, but I never really had the time and space to check that out.

Well xma is not lossless afaik (still, the spectographs look WAY better than VBR mp3). Thank you very much for the MW2 and MW3 PS3 files, now I don't have to download entires isos just for a few MB of mp3s.

For some reason xwmaencode or xma_test don't really like the 360 files btw, but ffmpeg deals with them just fine ...

Try Towav to encode them to WAV files, if you know of it.

How the program works is that you drag XMA files on to the .exe and it then coverts them to WAV, and so on.

I actually already have that, hah. Don't think the output between ffmpeg and it is different, though..

I always just do a "for %I in (*.xma) do ffmpeg -i "%I" etc etc".

And after updating ffmpeg it doesn't like the xmas anymore, towav it is then. Will let you know once I get anything done with these, thanks again!

Edit: Actually, any idea if the files coming with the remastered version might be even better quality? I'll ask a friend to let me know how the gamefiles look like in regard to pack format etc, really don't want to download 40GB just for some music files.

@remastered: I've absolutely no idea. I'm not too knowledgeable on or keep up with things like that. In addition, the game is pretty new. :p So unless a previous dependable ripping method can be used, we may have to wait a while until we have access to the audio files.

yea, with the original cod4 having 128k mp3's, the remastered edition is worth checking out. Maybe we could be a quality boost after all these years.

Seems to be pak, wasn't that the same as Ghosts? Ghosts had flac. Let's hope this is as well. A friend is currently uploading the 4GB of paks for me.

Nope, that's from ages ago when I only had the 128kbps PC mp3s ... but an upgrade for at least COD4 will come very soon. I currently have it almost done with the xma's, but I want to check the remastered soundfiles first.

if you already have the sound pak file(s) from CoD4:Remaster, perhaps this tool (http://cra0kalo.com/public/CODAW_FlacDumper_x64_3.0.zip) will help you unpack them. Not sure if you knew about it, or if it even works, but wanted to let you to know. There are other versions of it in the main dir (http://cra0kalo.com/public/), too.

Well now I wish I had read that before I wrote my own lol. It's really just the files clumped together (without filenames unfortunately), so it wasn't that hard, but still.

... upon trying it, this one doesn't dump the wavs. Not that I think any score would be in there, but still.

The soundtrack files are definitely lossless btw. Well worth the 5,72GB :P

Yup, this one I'll definitely post in flac. Not so sure about the others yet (when I get around to those, they are far more complicated to reconstruct).

Btw, good thing I wrote my own, the score for the "Coup" mission was in the wavs. Also unfortunately some files seem to be missing/shortened (horribly so). Those I'll have to source from the xma.

Okay, I got all the files lined up properly, now it's just a matter of balancing out the volume a bit overall, choosing which file to use etc as there are some alternates.
