Finally, for a long time a Blizzard soundtrack with no crossfades and all that.

Thanks for the lossless, aoshivx.

You have to do a rip Doublehex, your the only one a lot of us on this forum will settle for. Even if its not that good you have to keep the tradition going....

Maybe there will be some unreleased material that can help save the awful official release ;). But we won't get to find out until tomorrow...

well i guess there wont be so much more new music than the one in the campaign. Terran themes 1-5 and zerg themes 1-9 as well as all protoss themes have been in the game data since wol afaik.

not sure if we are listening to the same thing but I LOVE this soundtrack. This is easily better than WoL and DIII OST

Agree with Ashadelo. It may not have the thematic awesomeness of Wings of Liberty, but on the whole I'd say HOTS is a tad more enjoyable than WOL and a whole lot more than DIII, which was a huge bore-fest. The only awkward thing about these Blizzard soundtracks is the sometimes strange shifts in tone and style in a single track, going from a bombastic part to an ambient one and then to something else entirely. It makes it a bit of a incoherent mess to listen to, however there are nice ideas tucked away in most cues and the music has more of an epic sound, especially with the choral contributions, than Wings of Liberty had.

Would anyone be willing to do a full in game rip of HotS? If no one can or will I may just end up doing one. The only thing is I am currently duel enrolled for schooling (29 credits this semester) so I virtually have no time to play games or do a full good quality rip. If there is no one who will do it I can but it may take a while :(

Yeah I agree with this, I love the cues, especially in-game, but I don't like how Blizzard cuts them for these soundtracks. For example I really wish that He Had It Coming could have the end of Whispering From The Stars bolted on to it – it feels like a much better way to end that track (to me) with that cue, than letting it peter out. This is why I prefer to get the game rips for these games than the Blizzard releases. Individual cues are great but I hate how they're spliced for official soundtracks.

anyone here playing through the single player? It's really awesome so far. Wish I had more time to play it (only played like 30 minutes so far) will be playing tonight hopefully ^_^

I beat it yesterday! I wanted to get through it on Normal quick to unlock all the basic stuff + archive, get all the story and then go through the missions more carefully. I thought it was really fun and I'm looking forward to cheev-hunting and beating it on harder difficulties. I don't think there's been an RTS single player experience quite as cinematic and engaging as WoL and HOTS in a long time.

I think the music that wasn't on the release is way better. I love the music in the end cinematic the best.
