give everyone auto potion. Only buy X-potion and get rid of any other type of potion you have. auto potion has a high occurence rate so with every hit you take you're likely to get 150 hp back.

That is a good trick, but how about blade grasp and feather mantle mix, when you get into the higher leveled monsters, it's better if they can't his you at all. I'm not criticising your trick though, it's a very, very good trick

What does the feather mantle do? I preferred the auto potion to blade grasp because it covers magic(i suppose feather mantle might do this?) and is easily available.

whats the use to heal just 150 points of HP when flare can almost do 800 with Reis?
or 4 accumulates for a strong PA monk?
sometimes aegis shield, feather mantle, blade grasp and other abilities help out a lot

when your at the stage in the game when this is the moast usefull, you should use hi potions. the x is way to expensive and shlucks all your money away.

also a venitian shield with the feather mantle and blade grasp\hi brave is good to have.

defenders and agis sheilds are good together too. you get hi magic and physical def. at a good point in the game...before velious if you poach, i think.

A person with blade grasp adn 97 bv is good cause the enemy only have a 3% chance of hitting u.

What about Hamedo? Or Counter Magic? Or something like that? Has everyone forgotten about them?

But then, Auto potion is still a good ability but I may not consider that a trick.....

I've never thought of counter magic as being too useful. At the point where wizards become a problem you are usually able to kill them first. Hamedo is a very useful ability when it works. I use that all the time on Ramza

hamedo becomes obsolete after chapter 1.
counter magic wont help out a lot if the enemy can deal more dmg than your current hp.
at least Magic Def Up + feather mantle would lessen the dmg.

i got something for if your ina battle with a lot of short ragned baddies just have a chasrector have the 2 sword ability and the counter or homendo ability and then put on 1 or 2 blood swords so when somebody attacks you you attack them back doing about 200dmg and healing yourself from 70 to 200 hp! i just figured this out myself im not sure ikf you can do it with 2 blood swords yet but so far its extremly useful

auto potion is sweet for early hard matchs but its not needed when u have 700+ hp
bladegrasp/hamedo plus some other skill are good to mix around.
high brave helps with blade grasp so make ramza a squire and use cheer up on ur melee buddies~

Well, you could try this:

Equip Flame Shields on capable magicians with Counter Magic, then just cast Fire3 spells all over the place. You'll be hitting lots of times (hopefully on the enemy), and healing yourself all at once.

Also (don't know if everyone else knows this, but I'll post it anyway), the dupe trick can be done without Two Swords, which can save you time and (not much) money. Just do the same thing you'd do for the Two-Sword-Dupe trick without equipping the ability. You can dupe any type of weapon, including shields, by doing this. =)

Y is every one (plus me) given out crummy tips that every one knows?

Alrighty then.

Here's something I doubt many of you know:

You'll need either a Ninja with Equip Shield, or a Knight, Geomancer, Lancer, or Ramza's Squire with Two Swords. Just make sure you have a combination of Two Swords and Equip Shield on one character. Then, Leave the top hand empty, and equip a shield on the lower hand. During battle, when you Attack, you will hit two times, and still retain the shield's defensive attributes, effectively combining the two abilities. This works best with high Brave and at higher PA levels.

I know that you can duplicate most weapons (knight swords, swords, etc...) using the standard trick, and I think you can duplicate Samurai Swords with Orlandu because he can equip them with his Holy Swordsman class. But how do you duplicate shields? What setup of skills do you need? What goes in the right and left hand? Also, is it possible to duplicate spears? I would assume not since they don't have the two swords ability, but has anyone found a way?

Thanks

Just dump the Two Swords, like I said in a previous post, and equip the item you want to duplicate on the bottom hand, and a shield (if you're able to) on the top hand, leaving it empty when you're not able to equip shields. Then, in the Fitting Room, Try On a weaker item on the bottom hand, then hit Best Fit. And you have one more of that item now. =)

It works with any type of weapon, and with shields as well.

I forget how much some people play this game. I finished it under 60 hours. no one on my crew EVER neared 700 HP. maybe Cid.
