Instead of facepalming, you could give him an advice so he doesn't post any more transcodes... Of course, I'm assuming that he is willing to correct his mistake and learn.
Fire Will Rise, when you convert MP3 (lossy) to FLAC (lossless), it only increases the file size without any gain in quality. Simply put, you can't create bits out of thin air.

Obviously the game came out today. Must give a few days.

Or a bit longer version: when you convert flac to mp3 (or basically any lossless to lossy codec), much of the original data was lost in the process to achieve lossy compression, without any way to restore it. So when you transcode mp3 to flac, lost data can't be brought back.

I've only seen the lossy version for sale. There's a physical copy at the composer's shop, but it's not released yet.
