I made this myself in 2011 using the 5.1 hybrid SACD release.

At the time I had a DVD / SACD player with analog audio outputs and used it to record each pair of channels to my computer, in case the SACD player broke or what ultimately happened, which was I had to give it up. I still have the SACD itself of course.

I made it into a DTS CD, and here it is.

1. Collecting The Ballots (3:25)
2. Stolen Votes (6:31)
3. To The Governor's... And Then Elena (4:05)
4. This Is Who I Am (3:05)
5. Classroom Justice (1:50)
6. The Cortez Ranch (6:34)
7. A Proposal With Pearls/Perilous Times (3:58)
8. Joaquin's Capture And Zorro's Rescue (5:00)
9. Jailbreak/Reunited (5:36)
10. A Dinner Of Pigeon/Setting The Explosives (5:04)
11. Mad Dash/Zorro Unmasked (3:20)
12. Just One Drop Of Nitro (2:40)
13. The Train (11:11)
14. Statehood Proclaimed / My Family Is My Life... (13:19)

The SACD was exactly like the original CD, in that tracks 14 and 15 were two tracks that had a gapless playback in between them.

When making it into a DTS CD I didn't recreate the gap because I was afraid there would be an obvious 'pop' and didn't want to take the chance. Since the tracks flow into each other seamlessly anyway, so I decided to leave it as just one cue.

I've also made this into a DTS-HD Master Audio AVCHD, along with "A Beautiful Mind". If it's worth the time to upload them, I'll consider that.

Will check this one out as I remember liking what I saw of the film when it was shown on TV last year. Also, I've got some SACDs I'd like to rip, but want to try the PS3 method (as long drawn out as it seems from the guide I read), so it's off to eBay to find the specific (and probably antique by now) model to attempt it with!

Anyway, thanks again for your work and time to upload my good friend - I'm still working on that other matter for you by the way...

Nice!

I for one would love the DTS-HD files, but you don't have to:D (there's a nice balance somewhere between want and worth...heh)

Thanks anyways!!

I wasn't able to buy one of the first-generation SACD-capable PS3s, though I do own a PS3. I use it literally every day for everything else it does aside from gaming. It's my go-to multimedia playback device. Legend Of Zorro is thankfully an easy SACD to get brand new (mine was purchased off Amazon), which I think is the reason why no one (that I'm aware of) has ever ripped it. Rips tend to be restricted (understandably) to rare, very hard to find / long out of print SACD titles.

The fact that you're even making an attempt on that matter is deserving of my continued appreciation. I thank you. :)

I made them when I was able to use that DTS-HD encoding software, before it became unusable (it wasn't exactly purchased and now it doesn't work anymore). I took the DTS-HD tracks and made them into an audio-only AVCHD disc with a black screen. It plays just like a CD does with no on-screen information and makes uses of the skip buttons. I had a few compatibility issues with them though, as when I played them on my PS3 it ran them though as DTS-HD, but on my standard Blu-ray player which I no longer have it only played the core DTS stream, but it might have been a settings issue, I'm not sure.

Though as with everything I've ever done with various resolutions, I've never detected any sort of audible difference between DTS and DTS-HD when I've made tracks. I did a stereo downmix of "The Dark Knight Rises" end titles taken from the 'core' DTS stream, and then was asked to provide one from the DTS HD stream. I did, and I detected NO difference between them whatsoever. I continue to believe it's more a placebo - the knowledge that it's "HD" makes one believe it's better - than anything else. At least for music. Sound mixes on Blu-ray tend to be more of a grey area.

Two things about this:

- I've come to hold Horner's Zorro scores as representing some of his best work. They're lush, energetic, and beautifully orchestrated, and are something of a departure from his usual sound. Great stuff.

- If her sword were really that long, she wouldn't be able to hold it up straight at arm's length like that.

Could you possibly reupload this multichannel edition. Probably to MEGA?
Thanks for your great work!
