why do so many people think they remake final fantasy 7?
if you think hey should remake it thats means theres something about the original that u dont like so i would like to know what that is!!!!!

Aeris needed bigger boobs. Tifa needed small boobs.

Otherwise nothing wrong with that.

i don't dislike anything i just think a couple new things makes already games more hot, like whenthey make directors cuts or like when they made mgs substance, it wasn't much better it just had some stuff you couldn't do in the original

Yeah I agree with Strife-X about that. Just like the made the American version with the new Weapons. We want some new stuff sort of like when Lord of the Rings came out and then the Box Set came out with all the bonus features.

It would be great if FF7 were remade, if it were done correctly. It needs to be acted for one thing, and if it were, there would be a few things that needed fixing in the dialogue. And a it would be nice to (bleep)in' know what the heck happens after that flash of light!

Why not. It isn't like they aren't going to make millions off of it if they do remake it. The only thing on there that they probably won't do is make Aeris' boobs bigger.

EXACTLY why I said that that is a feature they won't do. If you would pay attention then you would notice that and not post about it again. I'm sure even if they DID make Aeris' boobs bigger that they wouldn't think that that would be the sole factor in recruiting all the loose profit.

I think if they do remake it they should do the following:

1) Improve graphics to FF10 level.
2) Add voices. At least for the FMVs.

Extra stuff to add in:

1) Add, like, another town or two. Not one that interferes with the plot.
2) More mini games.
3) Different weapons/ new ones.
4) More in-jokes like Nail Bat. Like a joke weapon for Tifa would be "Cartoon" Boxing Gloves.

That's it in my opinion. They should just keep breast size the same way they were. Well, maybe make Yuffie's bigger. He he.

Lightning Mage, I like your town idea and the graphics I would really like to be improved as well but I would like the battle graphics to look the same (not the same quality, just have the same sort of style, ya know?) More weapons would be good too but I don't really have a stance on the joke weapons.

yeah i was saying that in another postabout the graphics....upgrade them but keep it the same style otherwise there gonna make cloud look like a b�tch (tidus ffx(nothing against him))..besides, theres nothing wrong with the style of ff7...i thought they were quite cool!!! :cool:

I just bought a copy of Electronice Gaming Monthly and it said in an AC article that there is much speculation as to if there is going to be a game sequel or if they are going to make AC into a game/dvd. Don't ask me what they mean by that, I am just reading it straight from the books.

But the Gold Saucer getting destroyed by Ruby Weapon thing, that is a big no for just remaking FF7. I'm pretty sure most people don't want the story to change at all.
If they do remake it, the only thing they should really concentrate on is updating the graphics to the 21st century style.

The chocobo races rule.
If anything, they should add more mini games.

Ummmm.......no I don't think so because most people have more than a ps1 and I have seen MANY MANY websites that have petitions with about over 6,000 a piece.

Really, I still think they should put it to voice acting. Those of you who say they shouldn't, how dumb would that be to update the graphics and get all excited about it, then have to sit there and read their words? I mean, the acting makes you care about the characters more. They are actually people. I mean, the story is sacred and awesome, and I cared enough just reading it, but I would cared that much more if the people had voices and tangible personalitites!

Also, they should get completely RID of Cait Sith!!!!!!! I have never hated a usable character so much. And the whole traitor part he plays would have been so much more significant, like I would have actually cared, if it had not been someone not so maddeningly moronic. I mean the traitor thing could have worked. But I was like, "So...Cait Sith is the traitor...so?" FFVII is still playable on PS2. Yeah, maybe in ten years or so they should remake it. But not anytime soon. If they should remake one game it'd be Final Fantasy III, which is the only FF game currently only available for NES (!) and not available at all outside Japan.

y'know...they should have decided to make all of the games 3d when they decided the rereleaese all the ff titles again....

You don't hear anyone talking about an VIII sequel do you? What I think Square is trying to do is tap into the rumors because that is the only one people are talking about it for.:)

I am surprised you don't know that the discussions concerning an FFVII sequel had only started last year triggered by so many rumours. Finally it turned out they were not making a game but a movie. Well, I suppose FFX-2 played a role, too, suggesting to some people that Square should or would go on creating sequel games.
By the way, I think there was a thread about a possible FFVIII-2 a while ago.

Besides, totally re-designing and re-programming the games would cost a lot of time and resources. I don't think Square is really willing to spend so much money and time on such a project. And I think they'd rather make new games.

Something tells me that the discussion about the VIII sequel was made by someone that hasen't played VII or just wanted to make a thread that people replied to. I am not sure but it seems that way. And I am not talking only about discussions of a sequel because I know in like 02 that I saw a website with a petition to make a sequel because people have been thinking about it for some time now but as soon as X-2 came out they really started thinking about it. MAYBe, Square released X-2 to start hyping up a VII-2 so it would already be a huge idea by the time that they release it (If they DO)

They shouldn't make a sequel as a game.
They should just release Advent Children and maybe remake FF7 onto PS2 or PSP or both.

My original answer to this was "No," but now I'm kinda on a side-side basis.

I find it to be rather.. interesting as to what the continuation of the FFVII storyline would hold, yet.. I'd also be scared if something went totally berserk in the lines of the characters.

I also find it controvertial as to why they'd edit the newer FF's and leave the older ones, such as the NES version and GameBoy ones hanging on a thread? It's really sad to the heart, and brings a tear to my eye..*Tear...*

Yes, I'd also like to know what you think, but here's my anology on this part of it.

I think they should keep the original FFVII the way it is, maybe start it from the beginning, if Squaresoft thinks that those that buy it wish to go through 80 hours of game play, unless they plan on making the fights more challenging, maybe adding a few new monsters/WEAPONS, new 'weapons' to use, more materia, etc., then I wouldn't mind if they made the remake with the original to come along with it.

However, if they didn't plan on doing this, still, the game should be at LEAST rented from a video store, if it ever comes out, then try it and see what you think about it, then make your assumptions there after. That is all!*Soft smile.*

I greatly doubt that this picture has anything to do with Advent Children... I've seen it posted elsewhere a long time ago, but I forgot what was said about it.
It doesn't look very much like the character design in AC to me, and the one official picture of Barret shows us it really can't be him, he looks different.
