I am at this moment listening to the Chandos recording featuring Finzi's work for solo voice and piano transcribed by modern British composers to voice & orchestra.

The other recording is one of the much acclaimed Lyrita releases of British composers. These recordings were considered the finest of their day and were anxiously awaited to appear on compact disc. The whole Lyrita catalog in general will not disappoint.

Goodness, doesn't Yo-Yo look Young-Young?

(and I believe I have maybe two or three links to Finzi's music on this forum... in one form or another) ;-)

Thank you very much, Akashi San.
Phideas introduced me too to Finzi's music.
In my opinion Finzi is still underrated.
