How did you snag this? Somebody crack the supposedly uncrackable Wii U discs?

Great soundtrack, at 1:17 on the Athletic Theme (both versions), world 2 and Haunted Swamp the sound just stops for another 40-50 seconds until the end of the song.

Edit: a few more do it too. Beach, castle, Desert, Forest, World 4, Battle: Boom Boom and Battle: Enemy fade out 50 secs to a minute early, and theres a few more as well

I crack game discs easily, but I don't post tutorials or anything online :) secret, but getting the 3DS files is a real shit, so I record for now

Thanks GoombaJMR. I actually prefer line in over emulated rips. A lossless version would be cool. I really hate VBR.

Line in always has a rivety sound that is rather annoying, unless you have a ridiculously high quality recorder, but yeah...oh well :( I do it for my 3ds games tho :)

Hey you did ok actually. It's something I wanna do but yea you gotta get all the right equip all together. I was just at my moms looking through the basement trying desperately to find my nes, snes, n64 and the all the gamecarts. Still no luck only found the snes console and 1 controller go figure.
IMO VBR is rivety to me.

It is the same song, so you might as well duplicate that song, then put it in the New Super Mario Bros. U soundtrack. Oh well....I hope you knew that the soundtrack was so recycled that almost every song was different

That's why I want them so bad. I want to be able to listen to the awesomeness without the sound effects, and if you can crack Wii U discs as easily as you say, it should be no problem, right? I have literally been waiting since the game came out to get the new songs (I SERIOUSLY WANT A WII U, BADLY), and have had NO LUCK AT ALL with the two Bowser themes. Is the Wii U really that hard to crack?

Yeah I understand that sir, As you probably don't know, I'll inform you right now about ripping files from wii U games. They take a lot more ram to rip in-computer than other discs (More advanced things in it). It is rather easy to get the songs out, but it takes a lot of time you see. I've been trying to get the songs out since early December. Yeah, december. I also haven't even added the fade effect to all songs yet, which takes a little bit of some time, but people kept bugging me about releasing it. I can get the final music out, but to get it in, I have to do a bit more shit, so yeah - hope you understand ;D

It's true. Although people are able to do the somewhat simple "line-in rip" method, GoombaJMR is literally claiming to be able to actually rip the audio data from the discs themselves. Talking about how it takes up "more RAM". If he was only talking about line-in rips, then there's no such thing as "more RAM". A line-in rip from a NES would use as much RAM as a line-in rip from a PS4, just for the sake of two extremes.

I too am dubious about GoombaJMR's claims to rip from the disc. I feel like we are being outright lied to. Sorry, but I do. Also, the soundtrack is BARELY complete. 32 tracks? Give me a BREAK! And "it's a secret"? No, it's just BS.

Some of the tracks have long silences after them. Also, I think some of the tracks are missing, as there is no credits theme.

You can't really record them without lots of SFX. Wii U rips will come sometime later, but I'm not confident it will be soon.

the 3ds is just now beginning to be decrypted, so it will be another year or two before the same happens with the wii-u. unfortunately, this means we won't have any clean, raw music data ripped from the games until then :(

EDIT: seems like the first batch of streamed 3DS soundtracks are finally being uploaded!
