Easily one of the greatest games ever made, best RPG combat system second only to Kingdom Hearts I believe. Anyone else played it?

Do you mean Legend of Legaia?

And comparing the battle system to Kingdom Hearts immediately turns me off. Kingdom Hearts' battle system was so basically horrible in the "hack, hack, hack, hack, hack, hack, hack.... Hack, hack, hack, hack." *Pauses.* "Hack, hack, hack, hack...."

You get the point.

Legaia 2 was quite cool. Its battle system was okay with the Arts system. That was good fun.

It wasn't much like Kingdom Hearts, and it was a fairly average game.

Legaia 1 was the first RPG i ever played.
I loved the whole storyline.

However, Legaia 2 had nothing to do with the first one.
They didn't even have Ra-Serus. I have to say I hated it.

eh. the battle system was pretty good, but I didn't like the way magic worked. The story/characters never really grabbed me. It wasn't a bad game, it's just nothing I'd replay. I never played the second Legaia.

Legaia was pretty good. Anyone ever get the other Ra-Seru summons?

I got them all, and let me tell you, they're awesome. And the Juggernaut summon is well worth all the effort behing getting it as far as the graphics. But it's not as useful as the Horn (best healing summon I've run across in a game) summon and the death summon (the one that looks like a skeletal Deathscythe gundam), there were seven different summons, including Juggernaut, if I remember right. Which were more than enough to finish off the final boss if you used them in sequence, finished off with Horn, and then used each character's Miracle Arts.

The Super Arts were also fun to figure out, did nearly as much damage as the Miracle Arts, and only cost around 60 AP to use.

Yeah, Legend of Legaia was fun, but the loss of the Seru at the end of the game sucked.

Oh, and Songi was a pathetic boss to fight, did anyone seriously have any trouble with him when they ran across him?

Jedo!

Typo's favourites were Kimera and Gillium (the satellite beam from space :3).

I thought both games were all together solid. Both had an interesting story, neat graphics and inspiring soundtracks, as well as a constant stream of fast-paced gameplay. Typo will admit that you won't hear many other people say so, especially the soundtrack part, but I enjoyed both games thoroughly. o.o;;

I actually used to get tired of battles at a certain point in the original Legaia, until I discovered super arts... With those, you could take out some of the game's tougher mist monsters pretty quickly, eliminating what most people hated about the game--excessively lengthy random encounters.. Songi may not have been too tough in any incarnation, but he sure was presistant (and damn funny) in his monk-baddist role, trying to one-up Gala every step of the way~

aaah....Noa....

Legaia 2 was pretty much a cakewalk if you just made the time to create some higher level accessories. But the customization possibilities, as well as each character's huge move list kept Typo playing.

I got five summons I believe. Horn, Meta, Ozma, Terra (never had enough MP though) and Juggernaught.
Favorite boss was a tie between Cort 1 and Jette.

I've got both Legaia games, and both of them are good, IMO that is.

The first Legaia was quite good, with the abilityof capturing the Seru you fight, and then summoning them to unleash an attack in battle. Heh, I loved the Juggernaut Seru. Nice.

Legaia 2 Duel Saga, while not being connected to the first with Seru, is still a good game, with the same battle control system as the first. I know some people don't like the second, but I happened to enjoy it quite a bit.

Still, both of these are good games.

I liked the game. I think it had the second best combat system. I never got to far in that game I remember.

Legaia was amazing. It took much longer to level up than in most games... and that was a good thing because the battles never stopped being fun. The story wasn't spectacular but it didn't need to be because the actual gameplay was so cool. Really, it's the only RPG I've ever played that was like that.
