I remember when this was first released how annoyed I was not just with the leads' awful singing, but the fact R.U.G. had seen fit to supply Sony Classics with a finished master complete with dialogue and effects running right the way through it!

For example, tracks like 'Madame Giry's Tale/The Fairground', 'Journey to the Cemetery', 'The Swordfight', 'Chandelier Crash' and 'Track Down This Murderer' are nothing more than a DVD rip (score plus dialogue, screams, bangs, crashes - the works basically) instead of being what they should have been - i.e. the approved sessions mix prior to its insertion into the film's soundtrack.

All in all, a major let down and shame on you R.U.G. for adding further insult to injury by ruining all the film's underscore in this way! Here's hoping a bootleg not unlike the 'Sweeney Todd' approved mixes one that was shared on here a while back, finds its way onto here at some point...

They presented this just like they did the shows album...with sfx and screams and dialogue...like an audio-story in a way... but yea, I wish it were clean too

Go to my newer thread and download the last 2 CD's. You need to have the browser Google Chrome, though.

Or just rip the DVD or blu-ray instead as it's exactly the same including FXs!
