What RPG do you think has the best battle graphics? I personally think that Final Fantasy 7 has beautiful graphics because they are very clear and visual. I would like to see if anyone else here feels the same way I do.

Two things

1. The new 'Lara Croft' had some pretty neat battle effects (it's a must! :D)

2. You're in the wrong forum ^_^ go to 'Text Based Role Playing Games and not RPB forum. Here we only make RPG's and not discuss on them :D

Actually this belongs in neither. It should be in the bottom forum.

Yeah and another game that I forgot about was....well I don't know if you count this cause it does have HP and all that stuff but it doesn't have a main character but I always liked the graphics on the AOE Games (Age Of Empires)

Landlord, this belongs in Role-Playing Games. NOT in this forum. If you had even bothered to read the guidelines, you would know this - moving now.

Well, the best battle graphics are those that spend the less time loading up. And the latest FFs (X and X-2) are pretty darn good.

I also loved the graphics used in Legaia 2. Okay, so sometimes they hit thin air rather than enemies, but most of the time it is pretty cool.

You can't really mention first person RPGs, but Morrowind's battle graphics are the same as its normal graphics, so it's nice.

Yeah I guess when I made this I wasn't thinking about ps2 games but you are right with Morrowind because it is like not a change from the game. Sometimes it is sort of cheesy when your person does the same move over and over again tough.

Granted, but that doesn't stop people from liking Kingdom Hearts [/rant]

When you get right down to it, in RPGs, your character is always doing the same move over and over again in battle. "Attack" is the most common move that you use. I tend to avoid using magic unless in a boss battle, or facing a tough bad guy or something. (Although in X-2, I use abilities to level them up quicker.)

Morrowind's the same. It's not all hack and slash, there's magic to account for, and stealth-sneaking up to someone and assassinating them from distance using a crossbow or a bow and arrow. So... It's not really doing the same thing over and over again, because your decision in how to approach the situation is just as important as hacking away... If you decide to just run in each time, then you're going to eventually find someone who's stronger than you who'll tear you to pieces in ten seconds (Umbra springs to mind. o_o;;;; )

I'm gonna vote for FFXI. It was damn cool seeing tons of people going after those giant treants.

I think Xenosaga's battle graphics are amazing. Final Fantasy X and X-2 looked mighty pretty as well.

I agree with you in part Bahamut but I am just saying with the Morrowind issue that even if you do do different stuff then the different stuff that you do has only a few different animations. As for the rest of your post, I wasn't saying that you can't count ps2 games I was just saying that I wasn't thinking about them when I made it.
