The title of this 3D IMAX film from 1999 refers to a box two curious boys find backstage at a magic performance. Upon opening it they are transformed into Siegfried and Roy who then lead viewers on a autobiographical journey of their lives, from humble childhoods in postwar Germany to making it big as magicians in Vegas.

Silvestri's colorful score, filled with fantasy and adventure, features a chorus and full orchestra. Many have long-wondered why a soundtrack was never commercially released. A bootleg version appeared on the White Cat label (see SoundtrackCollector.com) and had 14 tracks. The 14th track was a vocal by Styx ("Grand Illusion") and was sung over the credits. This disc has the same 13 tracks of instrumental score but omits the pop vocal, presumably for copyright reasons.

Good stereo sound. No dialog or sfx.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.

Thanks! Silvestri used to live here way back when in vegas playing guitar in the shows. his brother was my high school vice-principle! Siegfried used to come into the rat shack i worked in all the time to buy batteries for their wireless equipment. a super nice guy.

The bootleg that has been circulating in the web features a 14th track called "The Grand Illusion", I wonder why that is not on this release.
